Trump Drags Rashida Tlaib's Grandma Into His Latest Twitter Attack

Trump Drags Rashida Tlaib's Grandma Into His Latest Twitter Attack. Donald Trump's ad hominem attacks took a new turn on Friday when he used Rashida Tlaib's grandmother as an excuse to insult the Democratic congresswoman from Michigan. He said the only winner in the congresswoman's battle with the Israeli government is her grandmother who "doesn't have to see her now!"

Trump is the perfect symbol of the Republican Party.

A petty bully, who's dumb as rocks, delusional, and out of touch with reality.

He's been a failure his entire life. Thankfully for him, the entire Republican Party is a bunch of losers who needed a leader.

the only winner in the congresswoman's battle with the Israeli government is her grandmother who "doesn't have to see her now!"

The real winner is Trump's dead grandmother.

She didn't have to see her grandson paint himself orange and marry a series of prostitutes.

The real loser is America.

This is indeed a theory. Can anyone imagine Trump ever admitting he even has syphilis? He's never get treatment. The resultant dementia he'd interpret as a form of genius, which is exactly what we see.

LOL. This is how Zed manufactures his own reality; by confirming in his head the plausibility of loose speculation - "..which is exactly what we see. In the same way, he's confirmed Epstein's murder by Trump henchmen, traitorous Russian collusion, and high crimes and misdemeanors.

I'm not a psychologist, but it's some form of delusion and fantasy. The weird thing is, others here do it as well.

This is EXACTLY how every meme was born and ran it's course on this site. This is how MSM talking heads take a single piece of uncorroborated speculation from unnamed sources and build a narrative around it.

The liar is YOU, Yav. It's documented that Zed, Danni, and Speaks have posted unhinged nutter conspiracies that have been running for 2 1/2 years.

They cite these memes as evidence, as though they're facts, and continue to build upon them to form conclusions.

Meet Rashida Tlaib's grandma: Who wouldn't be proud of a granddaughter like that?'

Very poignant article that illustrates the current plight of Palestinians living in the Occupied Territories. The time is coming very soon where Americans that don't know will fully understand that if this nation truly believes in liberty and freedom our actions need to match our words, not betray their understanding.

When ever has an allegedly strong, vital democracy been willing to try and stifle dissent of its own policies by legally silencing opposing viewpoints and experiences? Weak authoritarian states try to shape and control hostile speech all the time under the guise of national security, when the reality is those same states know that the truth undermines the wrongs perpetrated to maintain power and control over those they oppress. Though it was almost 50 years ago, the echoes of South Africa will reverberate louder and louder until the truth will be too powerful to deny. One must be able to talk about the wrongs done in the name of the Israeli state without being accused of wanting its democratic efforts to fail. But those living under a supposed democracy have to actually be treated in a democratic manner, each and every one held responsible for their individual actions without bearing wholesale responsibility for the violent acts and intentions of others.

Standing up for the rights of the oppressed and suffering to be treated far more fairly and humanely does not make one an advocate of Israel's fall as a democracy. For most it's a charge to Israel to be the type of society that it claims, and to treat all those within its borders with decency and fairness while simultaneously protecting itself from external and internal extremist harm.

#16 | Posted by tonyroma at 2019-08-17 12:27 PM

Guess no one on the left will acknowledge that Talaib is the one who used her grandmother 'to make a statement', so in reality, seeing her grandmother must mean very little to her.

This isn't about stifling dissent of policies. It is akin to inciting violence, in the eyes of Israel.
America has legally stifled viewpoints that incite violence or other forms of lawbreaking. I can't think of a country which hasn't.
Calling for economic damage to a country via BDS is not significantly different than calling for physical damage.
The Squad can speak up about the Israeli atrocities for the rest of their lives, they could even do so while visiting Israel. What they are not allowed to do is visit Israel while they're calling for injury to Israel.

That people continue to conflate 'dissent of policies' with 'calls for injury' is the betrayal.

"Calling for economic damage to a country via BDS is not significantly different than calling for physical damage."

What a load of crap. We have sanctions right now on several other nations which are causing huge economic problems for them so those women calling out Israel for keeping the Palestinians in virtual prisonlike conditions makes those who oppose it the bad people. This situation would be unacceptable if it involved any other nation except Israel which gets special treatment just to cater to idiotic born again Christians who believe in a crazy theory about a way where most Jews die but the survivors all convert to Christianity and it brings about the end of the world. It's crazy, they're all crazy but that is why we tolerate the behavior of Israel.

www.cnn.com

"Thank you for not politicizing what's happened to me, because I'm still a granddaughter," Tlaib told her supporters Friday in Detroit.

Oh give me a break... Tlaib herself politicized every aspect of these attention-seeking events. Like Friday night from a podium:

"Rep. Rashida Tlaib got emotional Friday following her announcement that she would not visit the West Bank to see her 90-year-old grandmother "potentially for the last time" after Israel ultimately reversed its decision to bar the congresswoman from the country.

"I should be on a plane to see her," Tlaib said, as she choked back tears..."

What a crock. pretending that she "can't go" because "oppression". I'll bet money that the Drama Queen makes the Sunday morning news rounds tomorrow, to make sure it's not politicized any further. LOL

#31 | Posted by SheepleSchism at 2019-08-17 03:54 PM

"seeing her grandmother must mean very little to her."

Seeing her grandmother merely means less to her than seeing her grandmother free.

#32 | Posted by snoofy at 2019-08-17 04:47 PM

She could have seen her grandmother today, but wanted a platform to boycott Israel. Her grandmother would still be in the very same house in Palestine regardless of Tlaib calling for a boycott or not.

This is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Closest I can see is Tlaib/Omar were planning a trip with Miftah, and Miftah once copypasta'd something from National Vanguard.

The notion that supporting Palestinians makes you an anti-semite is as ridiculous as saying that everyone who sides with Israel in that dispute is racist against people from Palestine. Rightwingers are just taking cues from Trump who exaggerates the position of a few no-name Congresswomen because he thinks it will help him in the election.

#67 | Posted by JOE at 2019-08-18 05:29 PM

Antisemitism www.ngo-monitor.org
In March 2013, published an article written by Nawaf al-Zaru that repeated the antisemitic blood libel that Jews use Christian blood to bake Passover matzah. After significant public criticism, MIFTAH removed the article, but attacked the blogger who exposed the article for "smearing" the organization and downplayed the centrality of the blood libel in the article.
Terrorism
In a January 2017 interview for Deutsche Welle, founder and chair of the Miftah board of directors Hanan Ashrawi claimed that Palestinian "attacks and their perpetrators" (as described by the interviewer, Tim Sebastian) "are seen by the people as resistance. And you cannot somehow adopt the language of either the international community or the occupier by describing anybody who resists as terrorist (sic)" (3:20).
Described Wafa Idrees, one of the first female Palestinian suicide bombers, as "the beginning of a string of Palestinian women dedicated to sacrificing their lives for the cause." Idrees detonated herself on January 27, 2002, killing 81 year-old Pinhas Takatli and wounding another 150 Israeli civilians. She is described as one of the "several young women" who "decided to join the ranks of the resistance movement."

Ashwari is right; attacks on oppressors are seen as resistance by the oppressed.
The blood libel thing was bad, but nothing they haven't made amends for.
Plenty of groups you're okay with have made similar gaffes.

#68 | Posted by snoofy at 2019-08-18 05:32 PM

"The notion that supporting Palestinians makes you an anti-semite is as ridiculous as saying that everyone who sides with Israel in that dispute is racist against people from Palestine."

You switched from Israel/Anti-Semite to Palestine/anti-Palestinian.
Seems like it should be: Israel/Anti-Semite to Palestine/anti-Muslim.

#79 | Posted by MUSTANG at 2019-08-19 10:28 AM

There's a small detail that is often overlooked, and that is that not all Palestinians are Muslims. Some are actually Christians. And while I only have anecdotal evidence, I've been told by people who used to live in what are now the occupied territories, that prior to the occupation, the Christian communities, small though they may have been, were treated better by their Muslim neighbors than they're being treated now. I'm not saying they've been targeted by Israelis, rather they're being treated as if they were also Muslims, that is anti-Jewish. Being a Palestinian does NOT automatically mean that you're a follower of Islam or even anti-Jewish for that matter. That being said, since the occupation, the number of Christians living in territories, to say nothing of Israel itself, has gone down significantly, most having left for greener pastures, some to Europe, but mostly to the Americas.
