Joey Chestnut is lifting the Mustard Belt once again. The 35-year-old competitive eater ate 71 hot dogs in 10 minutes on Thursday to claim his 12th title in Nathan's Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest. Chestnut beat 17 other competitors and easily held off Darron Breeden (second with 50 hot dogs) and Geoffrey Esper (third with 47 hot dogs).

He should have done it while Trump gave his rally speech on the Lincoln memorial.

Orange Adolf should have challenged him, I bet that's actually something he could win at.

This is gross. 71 folks in the neighborhood could have had lunch, while this guy could have spent 10 minutes picking up trash. When will his 15 minutes be up?

39,050 grams of sodium in 71 hotdogs. Wow!

That would kill me...

39,050 grams = 86 lbs

39,050 milligrams = 39.05 grams = 1.4 oz.

What a country!

Joey Chestnut Eats 71 Hot Dogs in 10 Minutes

Actually there were hundreds of hot dogs wasted that day. So actually about 800 homeless people could have had a hot dog lunch that day.

It is sad to have to think that way but we are letting our people starve on the streets while we stuff our faces with excess food. I wish I could enjoy the fun and frivolity but I cannot help but be sad about it. There is just something terribly wrong with this picture. Maye I a wrogn and maybe Nathan gives our free hotdogs that day to the homeless.

Somehow I don't think so.

utterly degenerate behavior. The industrial revolution was a mistake.
