Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, July 22, 2019

For decades, important, influential, "serious" people attended Epstein's dinner parties, rode his private jet, and furthered the fiction that he was some kind of genius hedge-fund billionaire. How do we explain why they looked the other way, or flattered Epstein, even as they must have noticed he was often in the company of a young harem?

"Cosby, Bill: Comedian, convicted rapist.
Lived across the street from Epstein in Manhattan."

If this was a crime novel I would have called the writer a hack and stopped reading right there.

Eyes wide shut. A vast social and political conspiracy. Who benefits? The ones who can blackmail the elite and get them to do what they want. And who are "they"?

They would say they are the chosen ones.

I never liked the word "blackmail" to describe the chummy relationship Epstein had with his wealthy clients. They were all have much too much fun to be called victims.

I prefer to think that Epstein was paying special "dividends" to his clients for letting him manage their money.

I doubt if a single one of them will claim they were being blackmailed.

Epstein had 14 different phone numbers for the orange diaper sniper in case he came across a 13 year old who resembled Ivanka.

You have to be a naive child or a complete idiot to not understand that what was going on with those folks was not completely evil.

The "black book" of Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier and now-accused child sex trafficker, is a smorgasbord of high-profile, powerful people, including Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, Britain's Prince Andrew and former Prime Minister Tony Blair, and convicted sex assailant and comedian Bill Cosby, Epstein's former neighbor. Also in Epstein's address book is supermarket mogul Ron Burkle, Clinton's daughter Chelsea Clinton, former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and John Kerry, late Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, and media titan Rupert Murdoch, New York magazine noted in a new article.

Maybe he's calling the decorator who bought those chairs.

Leopardskin print? How tacky! How 1960!

Epstein was an influence builder as well as a sex trafficker.

I'm still trying to figure out how he made his money. People invested money with him, and made money from it, but where is his financial firm? There isn't one. It's like he just took peoples money and bought treasuries with it.

"I'm still trying to figure out how he made his money."

Here's some help for you, in the form of keywords:

Wexner
Carbyne
Genesis Prize
Mossad

He called himself a hedge fund manager but it's uncertain what he was hedging against.

Judging from his list of clientele, he was probably passing out Viagra like candy, too.

Haha yeah, I would assume that the author is just throwing in recognizable names just for clout at this point. Unreal.

When the JE case is over and the details fall into place and whatever social/judicial punishments dealt out, I'll have to find a new crime hobby of interest.

JEpstein was my biggest niche interest after the FSU Law Professor's assassination was solved. (www.miaminewtimes.com)

Don't give up now. This crime story still has lots of tentacles. It could branch out in a hundred different directions . . . each with it's own sub-plot.

In fact, this is just the beginning. We haven't even got to the good part yet where people start pointing fingers.

I'm still on it! I'm loving all the new content, and I hope that the judge eventually releases the 2,000 or so pages of fresh documents. It was a big win when the last 100 or so documents of interviews with JE and his supporting case were released related to the public from the 2008 investigation (released around 2018, IIRC). I'm interested in this case like how some people follow the cases of serial killers with rapt interest, except this case deals with even juicier subplots: wealth, fame, influence, politics, academics, international locations, and networking circles. There's almost something for everyone in this news story.

Except for the abuse of children, how much better could it get?

I hope you get to write the movie script.

I listened to a podcast about this case (Over My Dead Body). The Adelsons are so guilty, but I wonder if they may actually get away with it.
