Ocasio-Cortez slammed back at the Senate majority leader after seeing the post, asking if McConnell is "paying for young men to practice groping & choking members of Congress w/ your payroll, or is this just the standard culture of #TeamMitch?"

McConnell campaign spokesman Kevin Golden told HuffPost in an email that Team Mitch "in no way condones any aggressive, suggestive, or demeaning act toward life-sized cardboard cutouts of any gender." He said the men are "not campaign staff; they're high schoolers, and it's incredible that the national media has sought to once again paint a target on their backs rather than report real, and significant news in our country."

Some of the same men also appeared in a photo on the official "Team Mitch" Instagram account for the Fancy Farm picnic, holding aloft cutout faces of Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch.

The photo was the second controversial image to come out of Team Mitch's participation at the Fancy Farm picnic. Another photo showed cardboard gravestones, including one with the name of the Kentucky senator's Democratic challenger in 2020, Amy McGrath. The campaign tweeted the image under the headline: "The Grim Reaper of Socialism."

They looked more like a group of young 'White-Supremacists-in-Training' to me. We should get their names and check back in five years or so and see what their contribution to society has been.

Is that what happened to you during pledge week?

And they still didn't let you in, did they?

How anyone could have observed the Kavanaugh hearings and come out in favor of his nomination as well as denigrating Blase-Ford are absolutely rapist culture.

The Fancy Farm picnic appears to have a number of well-off young men who not only condone but groomed to support anti-societal authority. I highly doubt any of them watched the hearing or know anything about Kavanaugh other than what Rush Limbaugh blathers.

These are children of conservatives. Conservatives are low information voters and most often dangerous bigots. It might be interesting to follow these young mens lives for a couple decades, but we know they will be allowed to practice as:

Cocaine Mitch for the win.

"Team Mitch in no way condones any aggressive, suggestive, or demeaning act toward life sized cardboard cut outs of any gender in a manner similar to what we saw from President Obama's speechwriting staff several years ago."

Love the way HuffnPuff didn't print the entire sentence. Can always count on dishonesty from those hacks.

Post will be ignored as the ragemob tramples one another to scream at Trump.

#5 rape culture and privilege are practically joined at the hip, as when it wasn't legally rape under NJ law for Donald Trump to force sex on Ivanka, or when Brock Turner's kind-hearted mother asked us to extent the her son the privilege of not him by just one rape.

But that's not what I wanted to say. What I wanted to say is this:

Telling those young men if they keep their noses clean they are destined to be successful rapists in the GOP isn't going to open their minds to better alternatives.

Painting these kids as rapists is far more alarming than the photo ever could be.

And of course, you ignored Nulli's link.

Wow. I'm genuinely shocked that you'd be dumb enough to stoop to a whataboutism about Obama. /s

God you're pathetic.

- stoop to a whataboutism about Obama.

It's a like-for-like comparison. Are you outraged at one but not at the other?

"You could be a democrat" - Jeff Foxworthy ...actually, a biased democrat.

They're both in extremely poor taste.

But I'm not the one making the "but they do it tooooo" argument.

So piss off child.

I'm less worried about the 'non-consensual touching' of a piece of cardboard than I am about the ritual facial mutilation that they were engaged in. I see that AOC was more concerned about touching than mutilation.

In this case these are teenage kids who have no ties to McConnell whatsoever.

In the Obama case it was his actual fricking speech-writers who weren't teens but adults at the time.

This is one situation where whataboutism is appropriate IMO.

Jeff hasn't seen an Obama whataboutism he didn't agree with.

He's still suffering from chronic ODS.
