President Trump "doesn't want undocumented people in the country," said one worker, Jorge Castro, a 55-year-old immigrant from Ecuador without legal status who left the company in April after nine years. "But at his properties, he still has them."

I'm willing to pay more for food to ensure its industries workers are legal residents, paid fairly, have work safety and OSHA approved training, medical benefits, and don't have to live in fear of being arrested or separated from their families.

Legal immigration solves those problems. Work visas, green cards, valid documentation are good for everyone involved.

Okay, but how is paying more for food supposed to ensure that?

@#6 ... Is it for the cheap chicken and pork prices? How can they sell their product so cheaply? ...

So it is not, as some assert, that illegal immigrants are taking jobs from Americans and legal immigrants.

The reality is that the employers are intentionally employing illegal immigrants for profit purposes.

Illegal immigrants are not taking jobs, American employers are preferably giving the jobs to them.

So why were no company management arrested during those Mississippi raids?

That's a good question. They should be frog marched to court with the MSMaratzzi in tow.

When will democrats demand it? When did Obama demand it? and please, no links to 'fines'. I want to see handcuffs.

@#11 ... That's a good question ...

Indeed it is.

Why wasn't the management who hired the illegal immigrants arrested?

Wouldn't that be a good way to stop the hiring of illegal immigrants?

Most definitely. When will democrats demand it of their leadership?

Yet you continue to support politicians who we're responsible for blocking passage of the 2013 immigration reform bill and who just last year blocked making E-verify, one of the strongest anti-illegal labor tools the country has available, mandatory for all employers

LORD YOU'RE SO DUMB.

www.theatlantic.com

After enacting House Bill 87, a law designed to drive illegal immigrants out of Georgia, state officials appear shocked to discover that HB 87 is, well, driving a lot of illegal immigrants out of Georgia...

Thanks to the resulting labor shortage, Georgia farmers have been forced to leave millions of dollars' worth of blueberries, onions, melons and other crops unharvested and rotting in the fields. It has also put state officials into something of a panic at the damage they've done to Georgia's largest industry....

The results of that investigation have now been released. According to survey of 230 Georgia farmers conducted by Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black, farmers expect to need more than 11,000 workers at some point over the rest of the season, a number that probably underestimates the real need, since not every farmer in the state responded to the survey.

Yeah because the laws are written by rich white people to protect them from accountability for their portion of the crime.

It's costing Georgia millions in film and television production revenue too. It's been an attractive place to film because of incentives. So many other places are offering incentives too that many production companies just said "screw this" and are moving production elsewhere.

Setting aside the facts that Bill Gates isn't running anything but a charity anymore and that merely being a monopoly isn't illegal, are you talking about an anti-trust suit like this one: United States v. Microsoft Corp.

Did you expect him to be held personally liable? Unfortunately, that's not the way it works in America - corporate officers are almost entirely shielded from the consequences of their decisions by the corporation even when those decisions were made in callous disregard for the very real, physical harm they could cause. We've taken "limited liability" to a whole new level here. If you don't like that, you should be advocating for a change to the laws.

United_States_v._Microsoft_Corp. So the Feds took Gates to trial and nothing happened. Big surprise.

Rich repubs just want to cut their own taxes no matter what it does to the country.

Obama focused their efforts on employers, which continued throughout his presidency:

A Crackdown on Employing Illegal Workers

TUCSON -- Obama administration officials are sharpening their crackdown on the hiring of illegal immigrants by focusing increasingly tough criminal charges on employers while moving away from criminal arrests of the workers themselves.

After months of criticism from Republicans who said President Obama was relaxing immigration enforcement in workplaces, the scope of the administration's strategy has become clear as long-running investigations of employers have culminated in indictments, convictions, exponentially increased fines and jail sentences. While conducting fewer headline-making factory raids, the immigration authorities have greatly expanded the number of businesses facing scrutiny and the cases where employers face severe sanctions.

You're actually kind of right. His presidency divided america into decent people and people who were driven insane by seeing a black guy in the white house. How dare he inflame the country by being half black. Obama's fault.
