Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Amid 10 consecutive weeks of protest in Hong Kong, Beijing is looking to a seemingly unlikely place for support: Europe. In recent days, Chinese ambassadors across the continent have gone on the offensive to rally Europe behind Hong Kong's government and against the protestors. As China attempts to spread its authoritarian values across the globe, and especially as the competition between China and the United States intensifies, Europe has conspicuously avoided siding with the United States over China.

Europe is about to learn this lesson the hard way.

Same old cowardly Europe. If it wasn't for the courage of Winston Churchill, they'd all be speaking German.

...they'd all be speaking German.

Most of them do. And French. And Italian. And English.

Europe learned that siding with Nazis is a bad idea.
They will go their own way.

That's unfortunately not an option for Europe.

They should be OK as long as France doesn't get to decide what side.

Europe is not going to side with the U.S. as long as "loose cannon" Trump is President. Who can blame them?

This is the result of Republican foreign policy. Liberals have been trying to warn you, but all we got back is "at least he's trying" and "Hell yeah... 'Murica!" and "alpha male".

So what do you do when it is shown that your dear (racist) leader's foreign policy is as bad and ineffective as we have been warning you about?

Of course, you whine about how OTHER COUNTRIES are making "bad" decisions.

Pathetic.

This is why Republicans are so crappy at governing. Instead of actually doing anything (or learning anything) and trying to fix the problem, they just whine and blame other people for THEIR inability to achieve any results.

Europe is not going to side with Hong Kong and democracy as long as it's more profitable to enable the Chinese Communist Party.

Fixed.

Nazism was their own way...

In other news, Germany economy shrinks, end of golden decade.

Yeah... because the United States sides with democracy over profits all the time.

Not.

Take your faux outrage elsewhere.

Good foreign policy is making sure that your policy goals BECOME profitable for other countries.

But Republicans are too simple-minded to understand that concept, so get all up in arms over foreign aid.

Then they elect someone as dumb as they are who cuts that foreign aid. And now, as expected, you are surprised when he proves completely incompetent at achieving anything when it comes to foreign policy (seriously... is there ANYTHING that he has accomplished, other than pompously wasting our tax dollars setting up these "summits" and then getting nothing out of them?).

#11 Europe learned the hard way once. I don't think it will rush to repeat that mistake.

Europe hasn't learned anything. Their nihilistic, globalist elite is corrupt, decadent and won't even defend western values and western civilization. If they want to finance Russia--an enemy--with natural gas deals, why are we even there?

Europe choses to side with muslim "refugees" and will suffer from dilution of thier individualism. Nice knowing our ancestor's culture while it lasted.

True, Europe will probably slowly stumble to repeat.

Sooooooo...just wondering. How do Liberals feel that their Mecca of all that is holy to them, aka socialized European nations, is busy lumping everyone into one group of people..."European"? I mean, Liberals do everything they can to make sure everyone in America knows that we are all different based on our skin color, nationality, etc....and here we have an ultra-Liberal publication trying to make sure we know that all Europeans are the same and don't deserve to be known by their own nationality?
