Federal immigration officials say they have probable cause that all five companies operating poultry plants raided by authorities in Mississippi last week violated immigration law by knowingly hiring undocumented immigrants, according to search warrant affidavits that cite videotaped statements of managers.

Yet none of the plant operators were dragged out of their workplace in handcuffs, unlike the entry-level workers they were exploiting.

When will Pelosi and Schumer demand action against these criminal employers?

When will a Dem led House Committee subpoena the CEO's to testify to their hiring practices?

Never, that's when. When will Retorters ask themselves why? Again, never.

@#1 ... When will Pelosi and Schumer demand action against these criminal employers? ...

Pres Trump runs the executive branch, the law enforcement part of the government.

You should be asking when Pres Trump will be enforcing the law against the employers who actively choose to use illegal immigrants instead of hiring Americans and legal immigrants.

So what? You mean Democrats can't use this issue against him? They've never been shy about attacking him on anything and everything before. Maybe they just don't want to enforce immigration law.

""We have legislation to go forward to address those needs, but in terms of interior enforcement, what's the " what's the point?" Pelosi asked."

This is what I have been saying and this is pretty much what happened...

The warrants state PH Food uses Personnel Management Inc. of Shreveport, Louisiana, to process payroll and perform some human resource functions, and that investigators believed Liang and Carrillo tried to use the contractor to minimize responsibility for illegally employing workers.

I have said this over and over again, Corporations insulate themselves from the problem by hiring other "employment companies" to do the dirty work....

The will hire a new "Personnel Management" company doing the same thing ...

Whats to enforce? Corporations are in a catch 22, damn if the do damn if they don't...

If the manager had a hunch and asked for a Hispanic to prove he's a citizen, the LEFT would be jumping up and down about racism.....

ITS NOT THE CORPORATIONS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAW OR MITIGATE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FLOWS!

Imagine if one of the debate "moderators" asked the candidates if they would crack down on employers. Of course they won't happen with DNC-approved moderators.

"You call me a dreamer...

But I'm not the only one..."

"Imagine there's no borders...

It's easy if you try...

Nothing but Democrats...

Promising pie in the sky.."

I didn't say that at all.

What I did say was that enforcing the law is the duty of the executive department.

Why should not the hiring process verify that it is legal to hire the person? All candidates.

No need to play identity politics based upon a hunch because of how someone might "look."

It is up to the employers, those doing the hiring, that the people they are hiring are lawfully able to work.

Let me say that again...

It is up to the employers, those doing the hiring, that the people they are hiring are lawfully able to work.

The problem is that the employers like the low wages they pay the illegal immigrants. (Capitalism and profit and all that)

I like the articles I've read about how the employers are now placing ads in the local newspapers for those Mississippi plants, and (surprise!) US citizens are applying for the jobs. And the jobs are now offering higher wages.

Why weren't those local ads placed previously? Hint: it's the "higher wages" part.

If the employers stop having the preference (more like the goal) for hiring illegals because of the low wages they can pay, and start to advertise in local papers (instead of Mexican papers) for help, then that would be a great start. Don't ya think?

What you can claim when going before a judge seeking a warrant is different that what you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Please note the actions of Congress people named below. The D after their names signifies Democrat.

From the article:

"On Friday, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.) and Rep. Jamie B. Raskin (D-Md.) sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General William P. Barr and acting homeland security secretary Kevin McAleenan asking for documents detailing the cost of the raids, information on the detained workers and any past or current criminal charges against the companies that employed them. It appears that these DOJ and ICE enforcement actions are targeting only immigrant workers and not their employers,' the letter reads.
"Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) is one of the top two recipients in Congress of campaign contributions from the egg and poultry industry, according to the nonprofit Center for Responsive Politics. The Jackson Free Press reported that Hyde-Smith's campaign is a top recipient of donations from the National Chicken Council PAC, to which both Peco Foods and Koch Foods executives donate. Hyde-Smith, a former Mississippi agriculture commissioner, did not respond to requests for comment from the Post."

It appears that enforcement against the employers "willfully and unlawfully" (ICE's words, not mine) hiring people who are not qualified to work in the US was only marginal under the administration of fmr Pres Obama.

From that low level of enforcement, it dropped even further under Pres Trump, to near zero.

Fortunately, the outcry from the Mississippi event is moving the spotlight a bit to those "willfully and unlawfully" doing the hiring of those who are not qualified to work in the US.

That is A Good Thing.

When are the executives and CEO's of this company going to prison?
They committed the crime of knowingly hiring illegals.

You have answers for my post in #1?

The question is 'when'? The answer, as far as I can tell, is 'never'. The reason is, 'support for illegal employment'.

BTW, California is the largest employer of illegals by far. Dem's love them some cheap labor.

They just now have PC. That's why they weren't dragging out managers. System working as designed and intended so far.
