Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Allies to Joe Biden have been floating the idea of altering the former vice president's schedule in an effort to reduce the gaffes he has made in recent days. The allies, growing increasingly nervous about Biden's verbal flubs, have said it's an approach that's been suggested to campaign officials on the heels of the former vice president's stumbles. Biden has a tendency to make the blunders late in the day, his allies say, particularly after a long swing on the road, like he had last week in Iowa. They say something needs to be done to give the candidate more down time as the campaign intensifies in the fall.

Best way to protect Biden is to get him out of the running.

He doesn't belong there.

He doesn't now, but if Debbie Wasserman Shultz hadn't had such keen desire to see Hillary win, Joe probably would have run in and won the primary, and easily beaten Trump, meaning 2020 would probably be shoe in for him, unless he actually managed to gaffe himself out of it anyway.

I don't know if I would go as far as saying he doesn't belong there, because he seems to have a good level of support.

Sometimes I think his presence in the race is overshadowing another viable candidate. I'd reall like to see how the Democrats would do without fmr VP Biden or Sen Sanders.

By On February 12, 1988 Joe Biden underwent surgery to repair an aneurysm. Blood was leaking in his brain and it required an immediate operation. His condition was so serious that he received Last Rites from a Catholic priest.
May 4, 1988 he underwent second surgery to continue the process of putting his brain back into working order.

Joe Biden is Brain Damaged...

Unlike Biden Bernie Sanders has proven to be an intelligent and viable candidate, poll after poll has shown him beating trump, that includes states like Texas

I think they should just put him in Walt Disney's cryotank until about a week before the Convention.

Out of all the arguments people raise to proclaim their lack of support for a candidate, gaffes have to be the most over used and least important. But it's low hanging fruit and the bases just eat that ---- up. So the media keeps feeding it to you. Newsflash: Everyone misspeaks. Everyone mis-remembers. Everyone has a faulty memory. Because....we're humans. Behavior, a la "grab 'em by the -----" Trump, does matter. I never thought the Republican base would put abortion over bigotry, racism, sexism, adultery, and lying (package deal) but here we are. Watching Evangelicals twist into amazing pretzel positions to justify voting for the antithesis of a Christian for President.

Biden is probably my least favorite Democratic politician left in the race.
But I find it humorous and hypocritical that the Benedict Donald voters don't hold their political deity to the same standards.

Completely agree, and these politicians are "on" for like 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for 18 months or so. Everyone has a bad moment sometime between those long days, long weeks, and long campaign season.
