North Korea has miniaturised nuclear warheads and made them small enough to fit on ballistic missiles, Japan believes.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!

Before taking office people were assuming that we were going to War with North Korea. President Obama said that North Korea was our biggest and most dangerous problem. No longer - sleep well tonight!

remember when the usual DR know-it-alls said we would all have egg on our face when trump denuclearized NK

looks like all that backslapping was premature, again

better pivot to trade wars

too late

the tariffs are proving to be a miserable failure as well

Actually, it's more like "Thanks, Clinton" whose policy was to give them food (which went to the military and elite, not the common folks) and turn a blind eye to their militaristic ambitions.

Though Clinton struck a nuclear deal with North Korea in exchange for the humanitarian aid, he did nothing as N Korea almost immediately started violating it.

If you think this nuke thing suddenly popped up in the laslt 2.5 years, you are more of a knee-jerker than I thought.

Did you miss the last couple years where Trump promised they weren't a threat anymore? Ignored their missile tests? Did you miss Conservatives on here declaring Trump deserved a Nobel Peace Prize for denuclearizing North Korea?

They developed short range missiles with mini nukes and produced them in mass because they know Trump won't do anything about it. And he can't now without admitting he is a failure.

So quit blaming light water reactor deals from 20 years ago.

That is when the N Koreans started their nuclear ambition. To ignore that is like ignoring Ft. Sumter when analyzing the beginnings of the Civil War. It would have been a whole lot easier to stop them then than to stop them now, or any time period in between.

Trump loves Kim. If Kim has nukes, it's because Trump allowed him the time and freedom to develop them.

1) Not pretending that we can trust the NKs

2) Not praising their dear leader and elevating his status to that of an equal to our President

3) Not pretending that a handshake in front of a camera was going to change anything

4) Not acting like it was an honor to step across the border just for a photo op.

This is a bigger threat than ICBMs. I don't think the USA will ever be threatened by NK. It's getting easier and easier to shoot down an ICBM. But short range missiles are another story. And if NK perfectgs cruise missiles forget it, Japan.
