Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

HANOVER, N.H. " Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. on Friday took a series of unusual rhetorical detours at the end of a town-hall-style campaign event nominally dedicated to health care, speculating about how a political assassination of Barack Obama might have affected the country in 2008 and recalling that he was accused of being gay because of his support of women's rights in the 1970s.

Still milking Bobby's death.

"In 2008, running for the Democratic presidential nomination, Hillary Clinton drew criticism when she referenced the political assassinations of 1968 as she defended staying in the long primary battle against Mr. Obama. She noted first that Bill Clinton had not wrapped up the nomination until June 1992, and then added, "We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.""

Disgusting

Imagine if Mary Jo Kopechne hadn't been sexually assaulted in Ted Kennedy's murder car.

It's as I said earlier, the democrats are so consumed with TDS that they aren't paying any attention at all to 2020.

Trump loves it

Anyone does and will look like a master orator compared to Trump.

It's funny how people knock him for his gaffes - of which this was not one - but give Trump a complete pass on the incessant, every day mumbo jumbo of BS.

I can imagine it. It would have been just like Trump getting impeached on BS.

If you mock Trump for gaffs you should apply the same standers to Biden to

Frankly, I think there is something wrong mentally to both trump and Biden.

The more I see Biden the more senile he seems.

Thank God he probably will not be the candidate on the Dem ticket

Sadly, that's not up to the people; the DNC has made their decision.

Joe Biden is your nominee - bank on it.

I really think he might might make a good president for a Democrat (certainly better than the last person on the ticket), but his mouth will keep him off the next ballot.

Interesting, you ignore his racists "gaffes"...

From poor kids are just smart as white kids, and his Indian's working at 7/11 and dunkuin donuts, et al.....

But Trumps the racist? ... yeah thats the ticket, right after the "collusion illusion" fell apart ....

"If you mock Trump for gaffs you should apply the same standers to Biden to"

I think verbal gaffes are irrelevant in both cases to whether they're qualified/able to do their jobs.

That said, I'm not seeing a gaffe in this story, just an out of context quote.

Here's Biden's problem:

Those closest to him want him speaking as little as possible. The plan seems to be for him to back his way into a primary victory and then duplicate that for the general. He might be able to do that in the primary with the puritopian/socialist wing split between Sanders and Warren (unless one of them drops out before Iowa) but it will be much harder to do that in the general. He either has it in him to campaign or he doesn't. Democrats need to find out sooner rather than later.

#17 you may not see it with you being so "tuned-in" to African American sentiment and all
but I assure you all African Americans were paying attention and in the proper context.

A total gaffe.
