For the first time since President Donald Trump was elected, more Americans say the economy is getting worse than getting better. A new Quinnipiac Poll shows 37% saying the economy is declining, compared with 31% who continue to see improvement.

More Americans employed than ever before, who all own smart phones and flat screen TV's connected to unlimited internet, downloading movies at light speed, eating out at restaurants once or twice a week, drinking craft beer, driving new cars, in air conditioned houses....

...complaining about what again?

@#1 ... ...complaining about what again? ...

I don't know if those in the poll are complaining about anything.

More people than previously are saying the economy is getting worse. Not is worse, but getting worse.

The points you highlight are correct, but they are a static indicator of where things are now, and not what more people think about where things are going.

... #TDS ...

Trump derangement syndrome? Well, if you ask me, Pres Trump isn't deranged yet, but he certainly looks to be getting there.

(again, notice the difference between the current status and the forward-looking trend? :) )

It is only going to hit a little over 2% this year. Still better than it was for o'bummer's admin.

you should go lecture the people who took the poll

of course, that would require you to leave the safety of your sofa and the anonymity of the internets before insulting their intelligence

so that's never going to happen

Seriously, why do righties lie so incessantly?

Trump's numbers are in the range where Obama got nothing but mockery and disdain from righties. Proof he didn't know what he was doing and that he was an America hater trying to destroy the USA.

Now, it never happened because Trump is better than "O'bummer ".

And you wonder why we think you're stupid cultists?

This is why both parties suck.

When the economy is/was going well then it's because Obama handed off an economy turning around.
If it tanks, it's Trump's fault.

If it starts to tank, but turns around, then it was a blip and Obama's good actions made that possible and still Obama's benefit.

If it starts and continues to tank, Obama had nothing to do with it.

U.S. has paid more than $1M in interest for late bailout payments to farmers

"We had farmers waiting at the door from 7 o'clock in the morning to 7 o'clock at night. And if you've only got two people working at the counter ... it was just overwhelming," one official said.

Well...when the trend lines follow the trajectory they were already on during the transition (2017-early 2018), it's reasonable to attribute things to Obama.

Now that we're 2.5 years in to Trump and he's had time to actually enact economic policy and for it to play out, we can and do attribute things to Trump.

If he's still bragging about this things that fall under the former (good unemployment numbers), it's still reasonable to point to a good economy chugging along and point out that he gets credit for not screwing things up.

If it tanks, it's Trump's fault.

Now? Yeah. Especially when there are specific Trump policies (ie trade wars) being listed as the cause of indicator change or drop.

LOL Headline vindicates me. Every time I have pointed to the good economy, there are always several lefties to tell me the economy is good due to Obama. I always tell them that the second the pendulum swings (as it always does) and the economy goes south, it will be Trump's fault.

I don't pretend to take credit for the obvious, I'm just sayin'...

"the pendulum swings"

Nice use of the passive voice.

Trump pushed the pendulum with his trade war.

Give the man some credit.

Economists have been predicting the stock market bubble burst and swing of the pendulum before the trade war. Hell, even my investment broker saw it and told me I should move some assets into bonds several months ago

Try again.

Trump deserves credit from Goatman for the things he's done.

For pushing ths pendulum.

And even if he didn't, he's forced them to play their hand prematurely so that now, if things do get bad, they don't really have any moves to make to mitigate it.

Then we'll get to experience Trump's "business acumen" personally.

Liberals just expand their imaginary world more and more. Just because you say something doesn't mean it is true. No matter how hard you want to believe something, if all of the real world, factual evidence says otherwise...you are living in a fantasy world. The economy is doing fine with ups and downs. Even a recession is good for the economy in many cases like the environment we have today, as several Conservative AND Liberal publications have recently penned because of the looming recession threat. It doesn't mean people's wallets are impacted. It's not the economy that's the problem, it's the partisan hate that is the problem.

Sorry, but facts aren't Partisan Hate.

Partisan Hate is like the Proud Boys being protected by the President, or running Birther segments on a news channel several times a day for years, or electing a guy who calls all Latinos rapists and drug dealers, or a President who protects Russia after it invades Crimea, hacks his opponents, supports his election with troll farms, and illegally offers him dirt on opponents.
