Indeed, many (most?) of the paragraphs in the cited article talk about impeachment.
When fmr Pres Clinton was impeached, his approval rating was in the 60-65% range, among the highest for recent Presidents.
Pres Trump's approval rating is around 43%. Even Rasmussen has Pres Trump's approval at only 46%.
Add in today's hyper-political environment and a presidential re-election campaign, and you have quite a different scenario.
There's a political aspect to impeachment, and that political aspect is quite dependent upon the current political environment.
It really is no surprise to me that swing-state Democrats are against impeachment.
