Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, September 05, 2019

A Perth vegan has taken her neighbours all the way to the Supreme Court, demanding they stop smoking, bouncing balls and even cooking barbecues in the backyard.

I was thinking of you when I posted this Jeff. I don't think such a person would be a compatible neighbor for you.

You are right. How does she get through life? All of us are at sometime smelling cooking hamburgers, or BBQs, or meat of some sort as we walk through town or the mall or whatever. Does this little snowflake melt down everytime she smells meat? Or does she do dodging manuevers through life like an OCD person avoiding cracks in the sidewalk?

In fact, there are 3 deal breaker questions I have ever asked of any GF.... Do you smoke? Have you ever done drugs? Are you a Vegan?

I don't care if she once fraked the whole fire department... it's just those 3 questions I care about and the answer had better be NO to all 3.

Can't stand vegans.... even though I myself am trying to go more the veggie route.... Vegans are in a horrid class of their own.

I dated a Vegan in law school and she told me if she ever found out that I ate meat it was over.

When I decided to break up with her I went out with buddies and had a Hamburger at 2:00 am, went to her apartment and when she smelled the hamburger on my breath I told her it was over.

Hilarity ensued.

Not just one neighbor.... she has been taking almost the entire block to court. For various outrages...

She could be a snow flake... but I rather think she is trying to be a pest in order for the neighbors to sell their houses at a discounted price so someone in her family can swoop in and buy them.

Someone tried that on me and I turned around and drove them out...

You're just as crazy as she is. Veganism is hardly a mental illness. It's a very healthy way of life. It's better for our planet. There are so many benefits to that way of life. I don't care if you eat meat but don't pretend that there aren't healthier alternatives. I agree this lady is a little bit nuts but to defend eating meat, as if it's a religion, is equally nut. Our planet would be much healthier if we didn't eat so much meat.

Obama bought his third home on a beach that's 8,000+ sq ft near a private airport. Therefore, that provides definitive evidence that global warming does not exist.

Or...

Al Gore rides around (to global warming speeches no less) in a private jet (that burns a lot of fossil fuels). That also provides definitive evidence that global warming does not exist.

Yes, I do. Gore is a hypocrite for burning so much excess fuel flying private jets. He should be flying commercial if he is that concerned about global warming and carbon footprints.

Obviously I do, or you would rebut my point rather than just saying I'm wrong.

I haven't said you're wrong. I have said you're using a tu quoque fallacy argument.

But. You don't know what that means. So you're assuming I'm saying you're wrong.

Try it. Rebut my point

Haven't the slightest interest is doing so.

It's sad you're so stubborn you'd rather wear your ignorance on your sleeve rather than learn something new.

Gore uses 20-25x more fuel than necessary when he flies

Tu Quoque?

I'll wait.

Is your observation intended to discredit Al Gore's position on global warming?
#74 | POSTED BY SNOOFY

No its intended to discredit you from ever bringing up my lifestyle, as something that must change, in regards to GlobalWarming.

Merely pointing out that appeal to hypocrisy is a logical fallacy.

Fallacy of what?

do you think global warming is a hoax?

No not a hoax, its a theory, they don't have an accurate model, they can't explain very many results, and they are wrong most of the time. Which is how science works. There are earnest scientist that believe it to be true.

Just because many people/scientists believe a theory, doesn't make it the truth, its just not how science works. You need a model that has some level accuracy, some time to reproduce, and others to confirm results. If there actually was an even remotely "accurate" model, there would be little discussion about it, as people would drag out its accurate predictions on a daily basis.

But we don't have one....

Does this mean I am all for pollution and garbage. No as a conservative, I see the value in "conserving", from water, energy, forest etal.

Do you think Al Gore flying on a private plane is evidence that global warming is a hoax?

Its evidence he treats "global warming" as a tool to advance his livelihood, regardless of its veracity.

Why did you take my quote out of context? Was the 17 microseconds saved from the cut and paste by not including the entire quote that important to you? Or did you just wish to be dishonest? I'm guessing the latter.

NOt at the retirement home yet. But it's ok by me if it's part of your fantasy. The truth is something that is foreign to you, clearly.

I am always amused when a poster (especially one who is trying hard to stay above water) uses age as a pejorative.

When people comment on my age, I take it as a compliment. It's like my brother in law said, "Getting old ain't for -------". So true. It's not as easy as the first 40 years of life.

So when people like clownshack treat my age as something derisive, I detect a bit of jealousy. In fact, it's almost like they are sayng, "I can't make it to your age, so I'll make fun of you for doing it."

And that makes me happy.

"You of course took the definition out of context."

That doesn't even make sense.

Hypocrite doesn't have multiple meanings, like the way "bar" could be a place to get a drink, or the group that certifies lawyers.

Horse crap. It's evidence that he regards global warming as a crisis for humanity and he feels the need to tell as many people as he can that we need to get serious about dealing with it. He is already rich, he doesn't need the money. Some people, unlike you Andrea, are motivated by things other than money and self-serving concepts. Al Gore, ineffective politician, is one of them. I'll never forgive him for not contesting the 2000 election results though. That was just lame.
And we got the Iraq unnecessary Iraq invasion/disaster because of it.
