Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson on Wednesday deleted a tweet saying that the "power of the mind" resulted in "millions of us seeing Dorian turn away from land." "The Bahamas, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas ... may all be in our prayers now. Millions of us seeing Dorian turn away from land is not a wacky idea; it is a creative use of the power of the mind," she said in the now-deleted tweet. "Two minutes of prayer, visualization, meditation for those in the way of the storm," she also said in the tweet. The best-selling author replaced her tweet with one offering prayers to people in the Bahamas, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.

She's a total loon, but a breath of fresh air during the early primaries.

I have to admit while she is probably less qualified than Cheetolini to be POTUS, I am going to miss her when/if she drops out.

I'd say that is less likely than some other looney ideas I heard floated on the radio today. Amongst them: Everyone go outside with an electric fan and point it towards Dorian. Drop a lot of ice into the eye. Have a fleet of Air Force planes fly in the opposite direction (clockwise) of the hurricane's rotation until it stalls.

#3 Exactly.

"Sunday, worshippers at Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach praised God for shifting the storm a couple of days ago, lessening the threat there, though they'd stockpiled supplies in a local warehouse just in case.

"And Lord God we thank you that the storm is continuing to move out of this place and away from us in Jesus name," exclaimed one minister in prayer."

Has she illegally faked a weather map with a black sharpie?

No. Then Fat Nixon is much less qualified.

Now that the Lord God successfully intervened in the hurricane, maybe Williamson and her true believers could gin up a little of God's sympathy for the poor unfortunate children imprisoned at the border.

"Suffer the little children come unto me" or so it's rumored to be said.

I'm waiting.

Soooooooo... what is she saying? The Bahamainians didn't think or pray hard enough to divert the hurricaione's course?

I like the metaphysicians in most instances... however this kind of thinking is where we part ways.

Even the G. Budha knew It is impossible to prevent or avoid pain and suffering in life... There is always the presence of it as a participant or wittness. What is important is what you do while experiencing or wittnessing pain and suffering in the present tense here an now.

RIGHT/TRITE

"what is she saying? The Bahamainians didn't think or pray hard enough to divert the hurricaione's course?

No, I think she's just trying to take credit for something that was going to happen anyway. It's a common malady among religious fanatics.

They don't think in terms of cause and effect.

Dorian definitely left my area alone while pounding the Bahamas, I can only speak for myself. My mind wasn't trying to push the storm away, we were very prepared with steel shutters on every window in the building. I don't know if we could have withstood the punishment they received in the Bahamas but I think we would have not seen the destruction they had there.

Re 13

So maybe there were just not enough gays there to justify destroying them all.

Or the Gawd of Wrath is slacking

Or maybe Jesus got Him high and gave Him some time to chill out and think about it and He had Second Thoughts.

One year on 9-11 I was on the road listening to Churchie radio and they had a guest on who climbed down like 83 flights of stairs to escape at the WTC. They kept going off on how great god was for saving him. All I could think off was, "what about the other 2999 people, I guess god didn't give a crap about them.

No more looney than any christian who said to "pray for the area".

Thinking we can use supernatural human mind power to divert a storm is just as reasonable as asking an imaginary diety to do it.

I'm disappointed she took the tweet down and replaced it with one about praying instead to appease the hypocrites.

If we'd listened to those "eco cultists" at the time, we'd be in a lot better shape today. Instead we listened to the polluters who own your party's lies for decades til the problem became undeniable.

Cultists at Climate Forum: Ban Everything!

Climate cultists appearing at CNN's marathon 7-hour global warming forum have a plan to solve a changing climate: Ban everything!

Over the course of the television extravaganza, Cultists' leading 2020 presidential candidates floated a variety of proposals to cut Americans' energy use and, ostensibly, to stop the climate from changing.

Among them: Bans on plastic straws, red meat, incandescent lightbulbs, gas-powered cars, nuclear energy, off-shore drilling, fracking, natural gas exports, coal plants, and even "carbon" itself.

If climate advocates were so bad you wouldnt need to lie about them.

Cults worship a leader. We know you're in a cult because of your obedience to a con man leader. Who is the climate cultist's leader?

Cultists in Trump administration: make the EPA powerless to defend our environment, deregulate everything, let our rivers burn as long as the rich can profit from it.
Ecologists aren't making s**t up, Trump cultists are definitely making s**t up.
