Redskins' Peterson healthy scratch for 1st time

PHILADELPHIA -- Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson was a healthy inactive for the first time in his storied career, a move that had been mentioned all week as a possibility.

Peterson, the NFL's eighth all-time leading rusher with 13,138 career yards, is Washington's backup to Derrius Guice. But the Redskins rarely have kept four running backs active in coach Jay Gruden's tenure. That means they want the backup to contribute on special teams; Peterson doesn't. Instead, Wendell Smallwood, claimed off waivers from Philadelphia a week ago, plays on multiple special teams.

Watching Rams-Panthers. Some kind of wild animal has burrowed into Cam Newton's skull.

Watching the NFL pat themselves on the back for turning 100 is going to be one of the crappier parts of this season.

I love America but the NFL is a gambling paradise, soaked in Vegas style money. We will never know any of the teams true potential.

Vikings had a good day too!

So did the 49ers!

Good day all around.

Skins folded in the second half, so everything is normal.

"Take your pick on his impressive stats. Personally, I like the fact that he was one of just four players in the history of the NFL to throw for 400 yards with four touchdowns ... and a perfect 158.3 rating.

Sure, you can get a high rating by throwing a touchdown or two with a few attempts. But you can't get 400 passing yards without a few attempts " 35 to be exact."

My Detroit Lion's had it in the bag agasint the Cardinals, that is, right-up until 43 seconds left on the clock. In the end, neither team got a win as it ended 27-27 after the OT:

#13 for the Cards that's about as close to a win we get.

BRADY THE GOAT! Just a few fantasy points shy of Mahomes who was on fire yesterday. Now with AB starting next week? Most underrated pick of the draft, and taken 50 picks past his average.

Gotta give you credit for the good choice there. Lamar Jackson will probably get me the "most points left on the bench" award this week... fml.
