The Trump administration is preparing to ban flavored e-cigarettes as federal health officials call for restrictions to combat an outbreak of a mysterious lung disease that has sickened hundreds and killed at least six people, U.S. health secretary Alex Azar told reporters Wednesday.

All the lung disease issues that cropped up were traced back to supplier stupidly using vitamin E oil. This is nothing but uneducated panic and a win for tobacco companies.

Vaping has kept me from smoking, but coming from Michigan, I can tell you we're already finding loopholes, and I'm glad of it, otherwise probably back to an old 2 pack a day habit for me. Probably just end up adding nicotine to CBD oil.

It's harder to glean tax dollars from juice than it is from tobacco.

Because tobacco will kill you over years instead of weeks.

So much winning.

The recent reports I've read are suspecting these illnesses/deaths are due to vaping THC in oil that contains Vitamin E.

It's good to know that the Trump administration is focusing on banning the important things like cotton candy-flavored vape juice and not AR-15s.

E cigs are everywhere. You can't just ban them.

Who would have thought unregulated tobacco products would kill?

If only there was a National E-Cig Association that paid millions and millions and millions of dollars to buy the GOP this would not be an issue.

She said the "government must do a better job" at creating awareness for healthier eating habits.

When the town hall host interrupted Harris to ask if she was interested in "changing the food pyramid," the senator said, "Yes, I would."

"Would you reduce red meat, specifically?"

"Yes, I would," Harris answered.

The Trump campaign tweeted Harris' comments on Wednesday night.

A reduction on red meat is not an outright ban. Jeff lies again.

Is there a Second Amendment for Beef I'm not aware of?

They "banned " marijuana for over 80 years... never even slowed down peoples access.
They "banned" booze.. didn't work out.
They can ban whatever they want.. people will still do whatever they want.. regardless of the law

Just saying .. 300k deaths from obesity seems more critical then 6 from vaping

5 people died from eating lettuce in 2018...no talks of banning lettuce... nobody is guaranteed safety.

I wouldn't be alarmed if 500 people died from vaping... they are misusing there lungs.. gotta expect some penalty

The problem with vaping is people think it's Safe. Doctors have been worried from the beginning and now we are starting to see what can happen.

This isn't about adults vaping. This is about the cigarette, sorry, e-cigarette companies targeting minors with both the flavors and the marketing.

There had been a reduction in teens starting to smoke, but that reversed when the flavored e-cigarettes suddenly gained popularity.

People who know they don't have to puff on something that tastes like ass to prove their masculinity. They can get their nicotine AND enjoy the flavor

How many adult vapers use the tobacco flavored vapes? Everytime I walk by someone with one they smell like cotton candy or fruit or some snow cone flavor.

If the information provided it true, there are no deaths from e-juice, but adulterated pen oil, which I would also bet has some ties to the tobacco industry. Apparently this is actually about THC products that were using vitamin E, and has nothing to do with nicotine juices. The administration is deliberately conflating all vaporization products with no knowledge that you cannot get THC products from a vape store. Idiots run this nation and contribute to the problem of smokers escaping cigarettes because they are paid to.

The flavors are food grade flavinoids, many recipes exist as do many home-made juice.

Aspirating vitamin E sounds more dangerous than alcohol vapor.

#24 - they said their intent is "to clear the market of flavored e-cigarettes to reverse the deeply concerning epidemic of youth e-cigarette". The timing of the CDC warning is coincidental.
And to say anything is clearly known or even "apparent" about that warning is inaccurate. The CDC simply said here's what we suspect currently and we are investigating.
