If we start seeing snippets in the context of "...blah blah blah...blah blah blah" you know there's nothing there.

The applications relied heavily on the unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele

My understanding is that only one application was based on the dossier.

And that the dossier was accurately portrayed in the notations of the application.

So if they're still hanging their hat on this then I'm guessing...lots of mole hills to be turned into mountains.

"a terrifying step towards a system where politics dictates indictment. There has NEVER been a case like this. Abuse of power."

Huh, pretty sure Eichenwald would have been totally fine with it if the Mueller Report had recommended indictment for members of the Trump Campaign.

wE'LL SOON SEE if our government can ever investigate anything again. If the investigators are then going to be targets of investigation there will be no more investigation about anything. That is what the Trump administrtion wants to happen.

I don't see the problem with investigating a politically motivated attack on a duly elected President. Comey and McCabe for jail.

Honestly, I hope this ends up being much ado about very little.

Eichenwald is full of crap.

The IG recommended criminal charges against McCabe because he lied to investigators.

I'd be willing to bet all of my worldly possessions that this hack was totally down with charging political operatives Flynn and Papadopolous for, wait for it....lying to investigators. In Flynn's case it was entrapment.

No, you are what sour grapes look like.

It sounds like the Grand Jury declined to Indict but the DOJ moved forward anyway. That would be Sour Grapes leading to a Political Indictment.

How many indictments?
How many found guilty?

So politically motivated...

Throw the full force and corruption of the Department of Justice and FBI at any random individual and you'll often get an indictment for something and a guilty plea to avoid being bankrupted or jailed for several lifetimes for not having a perfect memory.

Not me, we had to put up with Russia, Russia, Russia for three years, it has torn this country apart. If those who used the most powerful law enforcement agencies in the world to take down a duly elected President are not held accountable it will happen again and will foreever tarnish to good people who work in those agencies. McCabe is dirty, Comey-dirty, Brennen-dirty, Clapper-dirty, Strzok-dirty. They did this thinking they were above the law, and don't think some above them didn't know what was going on. Those on the left think Trump is crooked? This was disgusting.

Fishpaw,

You are getting ahead of yourself. I encourage you to wait until the IG report is released before making such declarative statements.
