Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

When Ukrainians voted to elect comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy as their next president in the spring of 2019, the fledgling administration was eager to coordinate a phone call with Kyiv's most important benefactor -- the United States, according to a former adviser to Zelenskiy. But after weeks of discussions with American officials, Ukrainian officials came to recognize a precondition to any executive correspondence, the former adviser said.

That Ukrainian Presidential adviser disclosure puts this Trump ask in the light, in which it was originally conveyed:

No Biden dirt, No Trump help.

You mean Trump wouldn't talk to the president of Ukraine without pre-conditions? SAD!

The photo in the tweet above was taken during Trump's insane ramblings yesterday, suggesting that Zelensky should get together with Putin and "work thing out."

Putin - the man's whose army and proxies are currently illegally occupying Ukraine territory and fighting a hot war against Zelensky's people.

The look in Zelensky's eyes says it all.

You would think, for most who can speak English, the former would have covered the latter. And the repetition of "no treason" is a tell, if you ask me.

This has already been retracted.

What else is new?

This has already been retracted.

No it hasn't. This version is correct. Why must you lie?

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly described Serhiy Leshchenko as a current advisor to Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Leshchenko advised Zelenskiy's transition team following his election in April but has since been distanced by the administration. He is no longer advising Zelenskiy.
The substance of the article is not in dispute.

More on Serhiy Leshchenko and his connections to Trump:

"When a Virginia court convicted Paul Manafort, U.S. President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, on charges of tax and bank fraud and concealing foreign bank accounts, a certain Ukrainian politician felt a surge of vindication. Serhiy Leshchenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and a former journalist, revealed the existence in 2016 of the so-called "black ledger""a list of secret payments made by Ukraine's pro-Russian Party of Regions to Manafort and others. The list detailed the vast sums Manafort earned as a political consultant abroad, some of which he concealed from U.S. authorities. Foreign Policy caught up by phone recently with Leshchenko in Redondo Beach, California, where he is on a swing through U.S. national parks with his family. He talked about his efforts to purge Ukrainian politics of corrupt money, the significance of Manafort's conviction, and the lingering questions about Manafort's ties to Moscow."

UPDATE " 9/26, 2:39 pm ET: The ABC News report has since been updated with this paragraph:

Leshchenko on Thursday sought to back track his comments, telling ABC News that he did not know if officials had viewed discussing Biden as a precondition for a meeting and that he had meant it was just obvious that Trump had wanted to talk about it.

Backtrack does not equate retraction. Waiting for said retraction to drop.

One thing that would make me extremely happy as an American patriot would be to see the actual, total destruction of the Republican Party. Burn it to the ground and pour salt on it. Fortunately, we don't seem to need the Democrats to do it, they elected the guy who is doing it for them. #winning

Responsible spending? NOPE.

Limited government? ONLY WHEN IT SUITS THEM.

All they have left is racism, stupidity, trashing the planet, military spending, and licking the crap off trump's shoes.

From what I can tell, he didn't. But I'm not the one using MAVERICK's crystal ball.

Further, it should be easy for MAVERICK to quote Biden's admission that he told a foreign power to give up dirt on his political opponent, if true.

But I'm getting the inkling feeling that MAVERICK is in fact one of those Righties that posts on the DR with the sole intention of trolling libbies. So, forgive me if I don't have much faith in his sincerity to have a legitimate discussion on this topic.

That doesn't answer the question.

It merely says who the Republicans represent, not what the Republicans stand for.

"That doesn't answer the question."

Yes, it does. The demands from both party's masters (corporate and union) are in constant flux. Ef you want a more specific answer, you'll have to define the party and a specific date.

I never claimed I could know the answer to a specific date. I only claimed a specific data and party were necessary to determine what the party's corporate masters were demanding since they are always in flux.

See post 25. And don't pull a snoofy and attempt to twist my words into saying I know what corporate America is expecting from the politicians they buy. My words are mine and I own them. I don't own what other people add to or take from them
