After the Tide pods craze, now we have Scotch pods, or "glassless cocktails" for drinkers who can't be bothered to pour. ... "A first of its kind for a spirit brand, the edible capsules are 23ml in size, fully biodegradable and provide the perfect flavour-explosion experience," read the Scottish brand's promotional materials. "Enjoying them is simple, the capsules are popped in the mouth for an instant burst of flavour, and the capsule is simply swallowed."

23 ml though! Is that a sip?

"23 ml though! Is that a sip?"

A shot is ~27.6ml.

Hopefully it will also contain a chemical payload which will ultimately sterilize the hipster millennials who buy this crap.
If only they could do this for IPAs as well. Also, the water drank by everyone in CNN's "travel" division.

I did not know that. For me, when they measure, it was always 3 cl. That means Ive been getting ripped off. Well no worries. Im back home and they pour until you tell them to stop.

Looks like big alcohol wants to get in on the THC edibles craze. Wonder how many will die this time? Alcohol is still a poison. No matter how you package it.

You could inhale alcohol since the early 00s at tech-forward places. Probably an expensive way to "drink" though.

Good question. The new party games and drinking challenges that people will come up with will OD many.
"I ate 7 in a row!"
"That's nothin', I can do 10!"

Cherry sour. I want to try a Singapore Sling but no bar near me carries it.

Have to try a Mai Tai. Heard good things about it from a movie.

10 | POSTED BY HELIUMRAT AT 2019-10-06 10:16 AM | FLAG: Singapore Slings were very popular with many in the 70s. Any decent bar should have a Mr. Boston: Official Bartender's Guide [or its equivalent] and the ingredients to make it. Just takes a a bartender with some initiative [which many do lack - even in the FL Keys].

Here: mrbostondrinks.com

My wife has one of these guides in our liquor cabinet [an old armoire where we've incorporated a wine rack. shelves for liquors, mixers, and utensils]. If one can follow written directions one can make any drinks.

After seeing the popularity of Tide Pods and needing to dispose of the chemical goo that the pods are made of it is a twofer for the Booze industry. Plus it is something the kids can like if they make the pods fruit flavored.
