President Trump told House Republicans that he made his now infamous phone call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the urging of Energy Secretary Rick Perry - a call Trump claimed he didn't even want to make.

I wonder if "House Republicans" believed any of that?

Believe it? It's in the talking point Gospel by now I am sure.

What will Trump do when he runs out of people to throw under the bus?

Wow even if Perry suggested that he call Trump is the one that opened his mouth. Trump keeps naming names and he'll have no friends in his own administration.

They should both be sent to their rooms because the country shouldn't have to do the Double Dare.

And just last week it was Giuliani who had manipulated him.

Yes, his "loyalty" requirement only goes one way. He will burn everyone he meets if it suits his immediate needs. I don't know why anyone would trust him.

If the call was as "perfect" as Pres Trump has said (multiple times) it was, then why does Pres Trump want to put the blame for the call on someone else?

Given Pres Trump's prior behavior, if the call was as "perfect" as he said it was, Pres Trump wuold be claiming credit for it, saying how great he was to make such a perfect call.

That aside, Pres Trump was the one on the phone, the one speaking. Unless Pres trump is Sec Perry's hand puppet, the call is Pres Trump's total responsibility and only Pres Trump's responsibility.

...you can just see Rick Perry in that photo saying: "Yes master, is there anything else your excellence wants me to do?"
Texans are going to be pissed......

Trump repeatedly says he has no advisers and he only consults himself. He is his own adviser and he is solely responsible.

Until there's blame to be had.

His cabinet secretaries and staff would be wise to abandon ship. Their careers, reputations and freedom are all in grave jeopardy.

Trump plays a tough guy, all mouth and attitude, and his enablers act like they're immortal. But eventually narcissistic sociopaths are exposed and it all falls apart. The hammer is going to come down hard. You don't want to be standing next to this fraud when it does.

WOW, that stab in the back must have been painful. Rick Perry is resigning as Energy Secretary.

Sounds like "2nd hand hear-say", Jeff. Were you in the room when it was said? ? No? Cause if you weren't, everything you base your post on is just '2nd hand hear-say', and therefore, without merit. Have I got that about right?

Trump: I broke the law because the guy who couldn't remember which departments he would eliminate told me to.

Trump: I broke the law because the dumbest "yes" man I could find to run the Energy Department wagged his tail and gave me a thumbs up on what I told him I wanted to do.
