Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, October 09, 2019

Donald Trump on Wednesday dared his 2016 nemesis Hillary Clinton to run against him again, calling her 'Crooked Hillary' and goading her after she warned him in a tweet that he shouldn't 'tempt' her.

Clinton vented during a PBS NewsHour interview on Tuesday about the email issue that spelled her political demise, saying that '[n]othing has been more examined and looked at than my emails, we all know that. So, he's either lying or delusional, or both.' 'There was no subpoena as he says in a tweet this morning, so, maybe there does need to be a rematch,' she continued. And then in a stunning declaration, she deadpanned: 'I mean, obviously, I can beat him again.'

This would be a terrible idea, let's focus on the candidates we have and put our best foot forward rather than looking backwards at "what might have been."

Who would be opposed to the much-loved and charismatic Clinton trying again? She's rested and ready.

She probably could "beat him again".

If by "beat him again" she means win the Popular vote and lose the EC/Presidency.

Hillary would have to fight Warren first. Interesting, Hillary is good at dodging "sniper fire," and Warren could use her Cherokee skills to sneak up on her. By all mean Hillary RUN and beat him AGAIN.

Al Gore invented Hillary's delusion of having won in 2016. This story is priceless. Did you see Weekend at Bernies? Coming soon reality TV Weekend at Hillarys.

I think there are enough centrists in the closest battleground states that Trump won in 2016 who have been scared straight and are going to vote for whoever the Democrat is so as far as the general is concerned I think she's probably right. Her candidacy would not make much of a difference in states she won last time, but it would hurt her in states she lost by a wide margin in 2016, which doesn't really matter in the final calculus. The real problem is what her candidacy does to the primary, especially with Warren supporters and to a lesser extend Biden supporters. Bernie would be least affected. Which is why she isn't going to run. It's almost poetic actually.

She'd would happily take the VP spot to get the ClintonFoundationCrimeSyndicate up and running again.

Come on Corky. You honestly don't find her comment she could beat Trump AGAIN in 2020 funny at best and delusional at worst? This is not HDS, it's pure comedy gold. Someone by now, surely, has told her she is not the president and lost the election in 2016.

#12 It was the criminal Trump foundation that was shut down, not the publicly audited Clinton Foundation.

ClintonFoundationCrimeSyndicate

Surely Bill Barr would be dropping indictments left and right if this were a crime syndicate. What's he waiting for?

Joe/JPW,

that comment from Andrea is a clue as to why she should stay miles away from the ticket.

We'd be up to our eyeballs in assertions like that.

It would be the Christmas gift of a lifetime for Trump were she to enter.

almost a bigger gift than if Sanders gets the nomination.

#17 | Posted by eberly at 2019-10-09 04:56 PM | Reply

Nope! Hillary needs to go away until after the 2020 election.

#17 I don't want her anywhere near the ticket, but then again i don't want Biden anywhere near it for many of the same reasons and he's there anyway.

#19 | Posted by JOE at 2019-10-09 05:22 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

In fact, i've been telling people for months that Trump would find a version of "But Her Emails" to use against Biden, and sure enough he's found it in Ukraine.

#20 | Posted by JOE at 2019-10-09 05:27 PM | Reply

Clinton has some fight left in her. But she shouldn't. You know who also has some fight left but shouldn't? Rosanne barr. I'd pay the 100 dollar ppv to see them fight, in a ring or cage or any shaped fighting area.

#21 | Posted by Ottodog at 2019-10-09 10:21 PM | Reply

"Again" implies she beat him at least once before.

I don't think we need another delusional idiot in the White House.

I want her to enter the fray only for the comedic value.

Can you even imagine the coughing-fit she'd launch into if Tulsi Gabbard knee-capped her in a debate like she did to Kamala Harris?

I like Tulsi Gabbard a lot.

I don't think she's POTUS material yet. She'd make a great VP choice. On the other side if the aisle I feel the same way about Dan Crenshaw, I think Nikki Haley is a pretty decent POTUS candidate, but her timing is terrible. Fortunately she is young enough that 8 years from now she is younger than Liz Warren is right now.

You were right about 2016 -- voting for Hillary in the general election was a mistake.

If the Democratic Party can't beat by landslide margins the worst Republican candidates ever ...

first George W. Numbnuts then Donald Freaking Trump, then the Dems deserve to lose.

Thomas Frank, who wrote 'What's the Matter with Kansas?' set me straight -- I should've listened to you.

I'm shocked that Biden could break the chains on his coffin. That was a professional job - those guys weren't contractors.

I do have wooden stake beneath my pillow - always sleep with it, and it is my hobby and everyone at the top knows, but I swear I hope I don't get the call again.

If Bernie was the nominee in 2016, then Clinton would almost certainly be the frontrunner for 20202 Dem nominee.
