Update:

Hundreds of foreigners affiliated with the Islamic State group (IS) have escaped from a camp in northern Syria amid a Turkish offensive, Kurdish officials say. They say detainees attacked gates at the Ain Issa displacement camp as fighting raged nearby.

So this is why you DON'T want a POTUS with conflicts of interest. Drumpf Towers in Istanbul are owned by a holding company who pay Drumpf millions of dollars for the use of his name. In his first phone call with Erdogan, Combover Quisling brought up Drumpf Towers and bid him greetings from the owners of the holding company. Shortly thereafter Erdogan had one of those owners arrested to show Drumpf who had the power in the US-Turkey relationship. I'm sure when Drumpf and Erdogan had their phone call that lead to this cowardly abandonment of our allies and the eventual reconstitution of ISIS Erdogan told Drumpf if he didn't play ball, they'd make sure Drumpf lost those millions he collects from the towers. Of course Drumpf, being a poor person's idea of a rich man capitulated.

Just another article by the "Fake News" media reinforcing their "false narrative" about what everyone except Drumpf supporters said would happen...

It's the weekend, so Fox hasn't released its talking points on how to spin this yet. Guess we'll have to wait until next week to trade barbs with the DR wingnut trolls...again. Yay us.

Were you pleased when Trump wiped out their Caliphate? I don't recall much joy here. Obama said they were just the JV team while they ran circles around us.

Trump ripped the ---- out them, but you just gotta bitch.

You mocked him when he said he would do it. You mocked him when he did it.

You were going to bitch about detaining the prisoners indefinitely with our PKK terrorist allies, if the Democrat media gave the signal.

You bitch. It is your signature move. I stop by from time to time to see what you guys are bitching about.

Let's hope a lot of them got torched in the camp fires, eh? I know. You'd still bitch.

Did you know ISIS is funded by the Saudi government?

www.nytimes.com

American government reports say financial support for terrorism from Saudis "remains athreatto the kingdom and the international community."

And while this has been ignored by Mr. Trump ...

Saudi Arabia undermines whatever good work it does by continuing to spend billions of dollars spreading Wahhabism, its ultraconservative brand of Islam -- which in turn inspires ISIS, Al Qaeda and other Sunni extremists ...

through a network of imams and mosques in countries like Kosovo, Indonesia and Pakistan.

We know that our supposed "friends", Saudi Arabia, funds these extremists like the 9/11 hijackers and ISIS -- and Bush, Obama, and now Trump, are all part of this grotesque situation.

Were you pleased when Trump wiped out their Caliphate? Sane people don't get pissed about imaginary declarations of victory. If anyone "wiped out their Caliphate" it was the Kurds in Northern Syria, who we just left to get rolled by Turkey.

I don't recall much joy here. Obama said they were just the JV team while they ran circles around us. That Obama "JV "line is getting pretty tired. Do you have any new material to use when defending your orange overlord, or are you just going to rehash Obama and HRC whenever he does something so politically and diplomatically stupid, you have to go back to your old tropes? (that's a rhetorical question)

Trump ripped the ---- out them, but you just gotta bitch. Drumpf can't even point out Syria on a map. He has no idea what he's doing.

You mocked him when he said he would do it. You mocked him when he did it. Did what?

You were going to bitch about detaining the prisoners indefinitely with our PKK terrorist allies, if the Democrat media gave the signal. The US is not allied with the PKK. The SDF was holding high value prisoners. There is no "Democrat media," LOL. Herp.

You bitch. It is your signature move. I stop by from time to time to see what you guys are bitching about. You comment on almost every post, like the good troll you are, LOL. WATB

Did you know we let thousands walk out of Raqqa over a year ago? Can't kill 'em if they surrender. Can't detain them forever after hostilities end.

Did you know Ulysses Grant paroled 30,000 Democrat traitors he captured at Vicksburg? He paroled tens of thousand more Democrat traitors at Appomattox.

Paroles happen. We fought the same Mexican soldiers over and over from Vera Cruz to Mexico City. At the end of WWII we stopped killing Japanese shortly after nuking them a couple times. Disarmed 'em and gave 'em a big loan. Germans too.

Maybe ISIS is worse than Nazis and should just be killed. Then again, you lefties think that half of Americans deserve to be at least punched.

Who knows what the ---- you would do, besides blindly support Obama while ISIS ran rampant.

Of course you've heard Trump may be close to ending the Korean War. You're certainly unhappy about that, too.

Yeah. They were corrupt as ---- and spied on their political opponents for years. It's coming out clearer and clearer. It's just not covered in the Dem media.

Say, do you think Obama is going to endorse Biden this week?

Do you think the House of Representatives will vote to declare war this week?

ISIS was a creation of US/isntreal/turkey et al in the first place because they want assad gone so badly. Doesn't anyone remember the DIA memo which envisioned the emergence of a "Salafist principality" in the interests of the aforementioned geopolitical actors? Even if one grants that the appearance of ISIS was not deliberate - a proposition which is dubious, in my opinion - many groups were built up and funded by US/isntreal/turkey before they defected to ISIS. That much is beyond question.

None of this would even be a problem if we weren't constantly meddling and conspiring to get rid of leaders of whom we don't approve. Dangling the kurds out as some kind of "humanitarian" blackmail is extremely cynical, but it will get leftists to bite every single time, and that's why leftists are now pro- foreverwar.

Dix,

Here's what we need to do in Syria, and the Middle East as a whole.

The United States should act not tactically and operationally, but strategically and politically, starting now ...

In the 40 years worth of bipartisan military forays (large and small) into the Middle East, what have we got in return for money spent and military lives lost, what has America achieved?

The answer to that -- nothing

Since 1980 tick off each place -- Beirut, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, and on, and on, and ask yourself what have we got done -- Is the region becoming more stable? Is the region becoming more democratic? Are we enhancing America in the eyes of the Islamic world?

Again, the answers -- no, no, no

So the first step in Syria and the Middle East should be doing things that are counterproductive for America.

Remember, the answer is strategic and political -- so it's good that Trump wants to pull troops out of Syria but politics is still a factor and Trump doing it in a manner that causes more death and mayhem shows his incompetency.

There are plenty of voices that Trump can turn to help guide him thru this complicated process -- but you know, and I know, he won't do that.

Glad I could help you with all this ~

The SDF is no longer our ally, they cut a deal with Assad. That stroke of genius makes perfect sense.
We've "threatened" Turkey with "sanctions" if they do anything Drumpf "doesn't like." Please, o wise and strategically infallible Obama-blamers, explain to us all what this means...

Drug-addled Donny has lost his marbles and I'm really curious what's next. He did say he wants to bring back torture and waterboarding, many, many times. I'd say we have even odds of that happening.

If investigating corruption means we open up a Biden investigation, then let's get Donny's taxes, Jared, Ivanka, Eric, Donny Jr. and the rest of the crooked grifters under the microscope as well. I'm happy to see Biden go free if it means putting the other lot in jail where they belong.

The uproar of the Righteous Right was deafening. And it was not even Obama. It was his predecessor, George W Bush!!

And now here we are...

Humpy is already responsible for the deaths of hundreds soon to be thousands of Kurds and he has inadvertently created another full blown refugee crisis and no one can stop him.

And now he is also responsible for the release of thousands of terrorists back into the wild.

Trump should consider it, and do it very soon if he decides yes. Not likely to work, though. Word has it the Turks will kill any Kurds they come upon. Can't be guarding if you're on the run or fighting.

Otherwise, Donald Trump single-handedly lost the United States a war.

This is an accomplishment without precedent in our history.

Move over, James Buchanan. Your primacy as the worst American president of all times is offer. Your place is now, inarguably, taken by Donald Trump.

The People's Front of Judea is not the Judean People's Front!

Bottom line is we've screwed our allies in Northern Syria with no plan and no long-term strategy. Russia, Turkey and Iran are all very happy with the withdrawal of the US from the region. All it took was a phone call.

Orange #45 has no idea what he's doing. I have a lot of questions, one of them is if we're going to bug out immediately or try to withdraw in an organized manner. There was a time when we had allies...wasn't long ago. That list is shrinking fast.

Don't look now, D-boy, but Trump seems to have understood the situation in Northern Syria better than you.

Reuters reports that Erdogan asked for Trump's help as the Syrian Army steps in to defend Syrian Kurds. In the face of newly imposed US sanctions and military facts on the ground, Turkey has agreed to not attack the main Kurdish city. VP Pence to lead delegation of negotiators in region.

Kurds vastly expanded their territory moving West & South. Deir ez-Zor is not Kurdish, it was home to 1.3 million arabs. They're a big part of the refugee population that fled into Turkey. Raqqa is closer to Idlib than Al Malikiyah. The only reason the Kurds handed it back to Syria is to move their militias to the Turkey front.
