President Trump made a grave mistake by pulling back troops in Syria last week, allowing Turkey to launch a military offensive against the Kurds, a retired four-star Marine general told CNN on Sunday. "There is blood on Trump's hands for abandoning our Kurdish allies," Gen. John Allen said. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces worked with the United States for several years to fight the Islamic State, and held control of the northeastern border area. Since the Turkish assault began last week, video footage has emerged purportedly showing Turkish-backed militia fighters shooting Kurdish prisoners. This, Allen said, is a "full-blown ethnic cleansing."

That's the best you can do here?

Maybe on another post.

I can take only so much of the OP's fascination with child rapists

But I'm sure he thanks you for swooping in to defend him and his sick fantasies.

DOTARD is a------------.

When you drag kids off away from their parents, that's as good as rape.

And GOAT-TROLL apparently is fine with it.... eh you bastard?

"There is blood on Trump's hands for abandoning our Kurdish allies," Gen. John Allen said.

I once felt great sympathy for the Kurdish people. But that was before I knew how they are willing to be American stooges willing to serve America for breaking apart Muslim nations... Iraq, Syria... and an attempt at Turkey. Whoever follows the American agenda to break Muslim countries into smaller bits just to keep Izrahell safe, needs a good bulldozing over.

DOTARD.. thanks to his cowardice and ineptitude... actually did the right thing by throwing them to the wolves. LOL

But this behaviou8r also underlines the American Way... "All our allies are disposable".

Trump just handed Syria over to Russia and Iran over the dead bodies of our allies.

Trump does not care. Trump supporters do not care. The 'promise' or 'assurance' of a righwinger is meaningless. They are only in it for themselves and only themselves.

No one here is defending Trump and his sick fantasies.

Except perhaps you.

Now do you care to comment of the topic of the thread or are you going to deflect and distract from the topic again.

The topic is that a retired 4 star Marine Corps General is calling out Trumpy for allowing the genocide of men and women who died for us.

Care to comment on that?

"Trump just handed Syria over to Russia and Iran over the dead bodies of our allies."

Technically...no

Syria has always been a partner of Russia. What Trump did was tell our allies, the SDF, that they were less important than Trumps boyfriend Erdogan.

Honestly, it's the Russians, and the Syrians, and Hezbollah, and the PMFs that are most likely going to protect the SDF from the Turks...themselves no strangers to genocide.

Personally, I think that the Republicans understand that Trump has destroyed the party. And now the Repubs are caught balancing between a president who demands absolute loyalty and subservience with the understanding that he has no clue what he is doing.

Or it could be Trump is setting the stage for a war with Iran and he doesn't want to get bogged down on too many fronts as the Axis powers did in WW2.

Yes, it means throwing the Kurds under the bus, but I think it's strategic, not personal or even less likely a love affair with Erdogan. In fact, ,the left has way over played the "Trump's-in-bed-with" card. A lot of us just yawn when we see the meme puked out again.

Trump has a fetish for dictators.
They are the only world leaders as corrupt as him. He is always looking for a daddy to fund his lifestyle that he can't sustain by adding value.

allowing the genocide of men and women who died for us.

What could be stupider than dying for America (a country that hates Muslims but loves their oil and dictators) when you aren't even American? LOL

They need to get whooped for their stupidity alone. Perhaps future generations will remember this lesson.

Use EVERY opportunity to throw America under the bus.

Because if you don't... they're going to do it to YOU anyway.

Gen. John Allen, a retired four-star Marine general, bluntly criticized Trump over the ongoing Turkish military offensive in northern Syria, saying, "There is blood on Trump's hands for abandoning our Kurdish allies."

Are we the protector for the entire world? Where does our precious blood run out?

It's not strategic. We know that because Trump doesn't have the first clue about military strategy. Had it been a function of strategy, it would have come about as a result of deliberate planning with all stakeholders. That was not the case. This was a unilateral decision by Trump.

It can't be proven, but I suspect that Erdogan played Trump and convinced him to do this by manipulating him to think it was his idea. Trump really isn't smart enough or experienced enough to understand when he is being played. Otherwise, he would have outlined his objectives to the SECDEF (as the senior warfighter), as well as our partner nations, and initiated Joint/Coalition planning on how to achieve said objectives.

None of that happened. The US military was as caught off guard as everyone else.

There is nothing wrong with entertaining the decision to extricate US forces from...anywhere. But the how/when/when/why is a function that needs to be left to the people who do it for a living. And honestly, we were headed that direction anyway.

That's what pisses me off...when the dumbest ------------ to ever occupy the White House starts making decisions best left to the grown ups.

It's crazy...I never thought I would be making these kinds of comments over a Republican. Maybe a Bernie or some other "democratic socialist," yes. But I always regarded Republicans and the grown-ups. Not as grown up as the Libertarians, obviously...but close.

How wrong I was.
