"No Angels?"

I think that our allies who did most of the ground fighting, going door to door, fighting ISIS should be honored and defended not deserted. Trump's comment about them; "no Angels," was insulting and just plain wrong. The Kurds are more aligned with American values than any other group in the ME. They based their laws on the American Constitution instead of Sharia Law. They, alone in the ME, believe in a secular society. Women have equality in their society. They were our best ally in all of the ME. And Trump sold them out for a f*****g hotel. His comment as an excuse for selling them out that "they're no Angels," makes me ashamed of America. But I'm getting used to that with this ------- in the WH.

You'd make a great Russian. They're all about illegally carving up countries in favor of creating loyal ethnic enclaves.

I think Sitz is disloyal to his friends and allies, probably sell them down the river for fun. We have retired 4 star Generals saying his is just a betrayal of an ally. But then, Donald Trump doesn't even understand the concept of loyalty. Being loyal to our allies, to him, is a foreign as actually paying the contractors that build his hotels. America will see a day when we will all regret his lack of loyalty towards allies. We'll all pay the price for his Sociopathy.

Once you marched in the streets to end supporting our allies in Vietnam. Now you advocate illegally occupying foreign countries and keeping 3.5 million refugees from returning home. Good stuff.

Trump 2016: "I'm a big fan of the Kurdish forces."

Supporters: 'Yeah! Trump knows what he's talking about!'

Trump 2019: "The Kurds are no angels."

We're (the US) are still going to illegally occupy it. We're just going to occupy from positions that don't interfere with the Turkettes from illegally occupying the areas they want to occupy.

No one is coming home. Americans aren't leaving. They just cleared out of the parts of Syria Erdogan wanted to invade...maybe commit a little genocide if the mood suits.

I got to work this morning and checked the open source news. The first thing I see is that US aircraft bombed the Lafarge Cement Factory, just south of Kobani. When I was there, it was the Special Operations Joint Task Force HQ.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at why the USAF would need to deploy a facility once occupied by US forces? Especially one owned by an MNC that might one day want to go back to making cement?

------- ceasefire.

Giving someone 5 days to surrender is not a "ceasefire."

US and Turkey reach agreement to suspend military operation in Syria

Halt in fighting within five days would allow Kurdish fighters to withdraw from designated 'safe zone' along Turkish border

Isn't that what we tried to do in Iraq?

No that is what Biden wanted to do. But as Bob Gates said, "...he's been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."

Unbelievable

I wish it was.

The problem is that Trump and his sycophantic ---- holster followers say whatever is necessary now.

They're too shameless to care that it is easy to show their inconsistency or hypocrisy. They have their reasons to think what they "think" now and that's all that matters. So they treat reality as pliable and attack anybody who doesn't agree unquestioningly.
