So then, why did Pres Trump abandon our allies?

@3 ... Our allies don't bribe or blackmail well. ...

I dunno.

Pres Trump said he abandoned the Kurds because he wanted to bring our troops home.

According to Def Sec Esper, the troops are not coming home.

So, why did Pres Trump surrender to Pres Erdogan on that phone call?

Turkey's Erdogan vows to 'crush heads' of Kurdish fighters
www.bbc.com

...Speaking at a televised event in the central Turkish province of Kayseri on Saturday, President Erdogan said that if Kurdish fighters did not withdraw by Tuesday evening - as agreed in the ceasefire - "we will start where we left off and continue to crush the terrorists' heads"....

Were the Kurds participants in those "cease-fire" talks?

Why did Pres Trump so willing surrender and abandon our allies?

State Department talking points counter Trump's optimistic message on Syria
www.vox.com

But his own State Department recently distributed talking points to American embassies around the world that offer a much gloomier picture than the president and his administration have painted.

"Turkey's military offensive is severely undermining counter-ISIS efforts, endangering innocent civilians, and threatening peace, security, and stability in the region," read some of the talking points written by the State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and obtained by Vox....

If the ending of an illegal occupation were actually what is raising the concern of so many, then maybe the manner in which you try to frame this might be appropriate.

But it's not, so it isn't.

It's straight forward.

Russia carves off an ethnic enclave, RUSSIA BAD!

US carves off an ethnic enclave, Trump withdraws from it, TRUMP BAD!

But Fat Nixon said they are coming home.

Surely he wouldn't lie now would he?

If he's talking, based on current stats, it's only true 5% of the time.

Maybe this is what he meant by seizing the oil?

SANA has flooded Manbij with cannon and rocket artillery. The Manbij refugees are now demonstrating against the Turks for not launching that part of the offensive. Russian special forces have arrived in Qamishlo Airport. Syrian reinforcements moved through Raqqa to the Ain Issa front and checked the militia advance.
