It is striking that the Justice Department is having to distance itself from the President's own personal attorney ... "When Mr. Benczkowski and fraud section lawyers met with Mr. Giuliani, they were not aware of any investigation of Mr. Giuliani's associates in the Southern District of New York and would not have met with him had they know," Peter Carr, a department spokesman, told The New York Times on Sunday, which first reported the meeting.

I disagree.

I do not think it is striking at all.

Pres Trump's prior personal lawyer is now in jail for things he did whilst working for citizen Trump.

So why would it be striking that the DoJ is concerned about Mr Giuliani?

Are you expecting AG "I work for Pres Trump's re-election committee" Barr to have morphed the whole DoJ into a Pres Trump cheerleading section this quickly?
