Three days after Rogue River Blue cheese, made by Rogue Creamery in Southern Oregon, was named the best cheese in the world at the 2019 World Cheese Awards in Italy, the Central Point facility and store were buzzing.

Corky likes blow cheese.

Wow all that to diss Corky. Good job.

Good for the USA

If it doesn't quiver and work its way slowly across the table, it's not "real" cheese.

Uhhh not sure what kind of "real" cheese you are talking about. Maybe you confused this for the article on the "blob"?

Though they call him the "store manager" in this article, Rogue's head cheesemonger is a distant cousin of mine and a super cool dude I'm happy to know.

I wonder if this place will survive the coming influx of people who want a selfie and an instagram post but not their cheese.

I'm not a fan of Blue Cheese. I prefer Havarti or Habanero Jack from Muensters

The only way I like blue cheese:

You will need 1 12oz pack of bacon
1 medium head of cabbage
8 oz of crumbled quality blue cheese

Cook bacon till crisp and remove.
Pour off all but 2tbsp of fat
Shred cabbage

Return skillet to med-high and add cabbage
Toss till wilted.
Add crumbled bacon and cheese - fold till mixed throughly
Cover and turn off fire

Serve with salad tongs while hot

I guess I favor the simpler presentation. Cheese, sausage, grapes, apples, and bread on a cutting board and a bottle of good wine like a German Reisling or an Italian Sauvignon

Not offended, just curious: we are allowed to do black caricatures if the target is a black republican?

Of course. In this day and age anything short of physical violence against black Republicans is acceptable (and encouraged) by our woke pop culture. And then, even violence against black Republicans is only paid lip service in rebuke.

Just look at how the left responded to the Rand Paul assault. It was a mix of applause, chortling, shoulder shrugging and some mild condemnation.

Had the same thing happened to Tim Scott, Ben Carson, Candace Owens...the collective responses would have all moved up the scale.

Heck, even the Scalise shooting and attempted mass slaughter of Republican congressmen was at most only lightly derided, with a rare minority of exceptions (Rcade springs to mind), and in some cases was met with cheers.

That is the current sad state of affairs.

What you mean is that the right wing news outlets did not cover the reaction to the scalise shooting. The response was the same as every other mass shooting or mass shooting attempt.

The day after the June 14, 2017, shooting, former Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords " who was shot in the head in 2011 and advocates for gun control " wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post calling for lawmakers to address gun violence.

Yep. She used it as an opportunity to shill for her preferred policy.

No, it wasn't.

There were plenty of people, and I'm not talking about stupid basement-dwelling warriors, who were claiming he got his just desserts for his support of the 2nd Amendment and the NRA.

Coverage of the Giffords shooting, which wasn't even politically-motivated no matter how much the NYT tried to libel otherwise, lasted far longer than the Scalise shooting which could have ended up being a massacre had it not been for some quick action by law enforcement.

"Shill"

Using that word in this context doesn't help your argument, Jeff.

Victims of gun violence who have been shot in the head are "shills" for trying to prevent future gun violence?

You're pretty ------ up, dude.

Let's say a rape victim pushes to clear the rape kit backlog at her state's DOJ. Jeff would say she's a "shill."

#23 | Posted by JOE at 2019-10-24 11:50 AM | Reply

Yep.
I had hoped it was only a bad word choice on Jeff's part.
The other option isn't good.

#24 | Posted by YAV at 2019-10-24 12:13 PM | Reply

Also are victims of illegal immigrants who have been raped/murdered or their kids raped or murdered are "shills" for trying to prevent further illegal immigration?

#25 | Posted by AndreaMackris at 2019-10-24 12:16 PM | Reply

I don't know, Mackris, is someone saying that on some thread somewhere?
Not that the two are related, except in your fevered imagination.
Your deep need to take the statistically insignificant occurrences and generalize them to all undocumented folks so you can push a non-related narrative just doesn't work for anyone that can actually think.

Tillamook cheese is really good as well.
Driven by their cheese factory many times on the way to Lincoln City.

Best cheese is queso de Oaxaca.

The best cheese in the world was by grandmother's homemade ricotta that she used to fill her stuffed shells in bolognese. Everything except the meat from her backyard garden
