Michael Weiss @michaeldweiss ("Co-author of "ISIS: Inside the Army of Terror")

A few more cursory thoughts: Baghdadi claimed to be a Qurayshi, a descendant of the Prophet. None of his predecessors had such a mantle (ignore whether or not it's true), so his demise isn't just "symbolic." This was a leader with rare authority.

Yes, it will matter to ISIS, even assuming they've got a replacement already selected which no doubt they do.

A very good day.
Trump should end his Q&A, though.
The more he goes on the more he steps in it.
Now he's using this opportunity to plug his book.

We wouldn't have to conduct these Spec-Ops snuff operations if we'd just simply stop funding ISIS indirectly thru our support of Saudi Arabia, who funds ISIS directly.

Stop Arming Terrorists Act
en.m.wikipedia.org

The Stop Arming Terrorists Act is a proposed Act of Congress that was originally sponsored by United States Representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district Tulsi Gabbard and United States Senator for Kentucky Rand Paul in early 2017 to prohibit the use of United States

Government funds to provide assistance to Al Qaeda, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and to countries supporting those organizations, and for other purposes.

As November 2017, 14 other lawmakers out of 435 United States House of Representatives have co-sponsored Gabbard's House bill. Paul's Senate version of the bill, on the other hand, has zero cosponsors.

Pretty telling that this went no where -- feed the MIC, and the MIC returns the favor via campaign cash, while America funds these groups thru proxies like Saudi Arabia -- and both Democrats and Republicans are complicit.

BTW - 8 trillion dollars to secure oil for multi-national corporations, paid for by the U.S. tax payers, according to Trump.

Trump is so incoherent he even weaved in a knock knock joke.

Re: #10 Fishpie and #11

You missed the point. Trump's rhetoric is for the lower-minded cretin brutes who mistake machismo for strength and leadership.

If Obmama had done this, it would be on the front page, with dancing bananas, and all the Useful Idiots of the DR Left would be congratulating themselves for saving the world.

As of this very day, Donald Trump is not giving Obama credit for Osama.

So, f--k him.

"Useful Idiots of the DR Left would be congratulating themselves for saving the world."

So killing this guy actually does nothing towards saving the world.

Got it.

This is just another occasion Trump is using to make it all about him, and then whining when an insufficient number of people bow down to worship his Beauty and Power.

#17 actually I felt the whole reaction to Osama being killed was pretty macabre.

And he was somebody who actually executed an attack on the US.
