With all the negative press that Trump is deservedly getting right now, this has to be disconcerting to the DNC elite, especially with the noises that Hillary is making about contemplating a run.

I posted the cited article in another thread a hour or so ago.

I'm not surprised at the indications therein.

Given those indications about the Electoral College, I can see why Spkr Pelosi was so reluctant to start the impeachment proceedings.

Even now, as the evidence mounts and Republicans are moving from "perfect phone call" to "it was not good, but not impeachable" excuses, the Electoral College still looks to be leaning towards re-election for Pres Trump.

For fmr Pres H.W. Bush, it was, "it's the economy, stupid."

For the current crop of Democratic contenders, it is, "it's the electoral college, stupid."

- disconcerting to the DNC elite

But not to RoCheney? Imagine that.

- the noises that Hillary is making about contemplating a run.

You must be hearing voices again.

Given the DRLefts posts, all they have to do is not be as crazy as Trump .... they can't even do that ...

And you are a hack.

Its not what I said, you employ a contextomy fallacy... read what I said, quote my proposition without contextualizing.

Then refute it if possible.

This only goes to show that it was not Clinton's politics, but rather her gender, that made her less appealing to swing state voters.

People love to not talk about that one. How black men got the vote a half century before white women did.

There is also those things clinton did to people hindering them....well maybe not directly her doing it but you know a role like Dr. Kevorkian was in to help.

Or it could have been she was a regression away from Obama.

Long time insider with decades of dirt (deserved and undeserved) who was involved in developing and maintaining the status quo so many people were trying to escape.

The Dems looked at all the lessons that should have been learned from Obama's two elections and shrugged their shoulders while Trump took them cynically to heart.

Look at the polls Dems.
Biden beats Trump. Warren does not.
Biden Warren 2020 is your only chance this cycle.

Hillary wishes she could have a do over on that ridiculous Tim Kaine VP choice. Bernie voters stayed home.

I'm an independent. No chance I'll vote for Trump. I'll almost certainly vote Dem, unless they put up their own version of Donnie. Then I'll just stay home knowing that I'm stuck the devil I know for the next four year.

I doubt I'm the only one.

I think that the choice of VP can't be understand either. It's too soon, but it would be interesting to see who pairs of candidates would poll. Whether Biden grabbing a progressive would help or hurt his chances. Or maybe Bernie or Warren could pull in a moderate candidate in order to quell the fears of those outside the far left.

#28 | Posted by madbomber at 2019-11-05 02:07 PM | Reply

#28. Polls are getting clearer now.
Trump would beat Warren and Sanders.
Both unelectable at top of the ticket.
Here in Georgia, they're regarded as dangerous socialists.
Biden only candidate now beating Trump.
Biden chooses Warren, they can pull significant percentage of women voters.
Biden chooses Mayor Pete, women aren't energized.
Biden aint going to choose Bernie. He's crazy.

Nothing to do with gender - it is WHO SHE IS AS A PERSON. She is a horrid human being - but that alone is not disqualifying as shown by Trump - but you cannot win when you combine that with equally horrid policies. There are a ton of women I would vote for just like every other American - Hillary ain't on that list. With her post-election revealing as an incompetent stooge, I think most of her voters realized just how horrid she is at this point too.

You should welcome the input. Most people on this site follow politics closely. Living in a bubble and engaging in group-think leads to delusion. A couple of weeks ago Nulli threw out a quote from a LW media pundit from the '70's regarding Nixon's landslide victory over McGovern (paraphrased from memory) "I can't believe Nixon won. Nobody I know voted for him."

The electoral college is reality. This means that votes outside of the 2 coasts actually matter. You need to take that into consideration given you are a huge Elizabeth Warren supporter.

The challenge for Warren during this period " which creates significant worry among many Democrats and will be a major topic in the November debate " is that she is taking a small number of highly controversial positions that create extreme political danger to her campaign in critical electoral vote states and threaten a number of key Democratic House and Senate candidates in battleground states and districts.

The most dangerous position Warren is taking would terminate private health insurance, now held by more than 150 million Americans, in her version of a "Medicare for All" plan.

I've read posts by folks like you for years but never read a single post that really explained why you repeat that talking point. I doubt you have serious reasons, I think you just repeat what you are told to repeat. But hey, it's probably easier than thinking.
