Well, has Trump's team learned from that embarrassment, and since proceeded more carefully with its new hires? You tell us after watching this video about Paula White, Trump's "personal pastor and spiritual adviser," who we can't believe isn't a Righteous Gemstones character.

If there was ever an obscene perversion of Christian faith it is prosperity gospel. A complete perversion of every Christian core principal.

This world is nuts.

"'To say no to President Trump would be saying no to God.'"

Trump regularly violates half the commandments.

I grew up with a very particular phrase for those who would rise to power by doing exactly the opposite of what Jesus preached: Anti-Christ.

Good for her. She recognized she could con a narcissistic megalomaniac out of a job and position of power. I just hope she doesn't end up sexually assaulted by the Conman in Chief.

Pretty much all the Evangelicals I've ever known deserved to be conned. I can't say I miss any of them.

Just another sign that he's losing support in all quarters, even some fundies, and trying to shore it up.

Here's something for a laugh:

Trump has changed the GOP from reliance on the holy rollers to the working class people that voted Dem until the Dems finally came out and told them that they have been lying about their agenda for years. With Trump kicking out the globalists from the GOP, it is now the working of working people - not the billionaires and not the lazy do nothing government teat suckers - that form the GOP base. So, take your pathetic attempt at religion-shaming somewhere else.

I was only going to include the bolder segment. But the entire thing is a laugh riot. As is the fact Nulli flagged it Newsworthy.

The lack of self-awareness is astonishing.

95% of your posts are either: slaughter the source or hurl insults at people who aren't even engaging you in conversation.

Talk about lower than whale schit. It doesn't get lower than you these days. Monson and Rein are more substantive in their posts than you.

The cool thing about people like this sack of waste is that, no matter what, she ain't going to heaven. Either it doesn't exist (duh), or she ain't getting in. Goes for Trump too.

Enjoy non-existence or hell. Take your choice.

This from the guy who posts articles from garbage pile websites or from people with no credibility. Andrew C McCarthy comes to mind. You are right about one thing I am ignorant. I used to love you. Lord was I ever dumb.

Thanks, I guess.

I'm not sure what you think that link proves other than trying to paint McCarthy as some kind of hypocrite.

I did notice that the writer made no mention of asking for McCarthy to comment. I can't even count how many times I read pieces about someone and, at the conclusion, the writer will say something along the lines of, "We contacted Mr _____________ and he declined to comment."

"Because of a lack of effective terrorism laws at the time, he said, he traveled to Washington with the United States attorney, Mary Jo White, and won approval from Attorney General Janet Reno to use the seditious conspiracy statute. The Civil War-era law made it illegal to plot to wage a war against the government.

Mr. McCarthy said they believed that the sheik's exhortations of his followers to attack the United States could be charged as part of the conspiracy."

So then, Trump supporters, especially politicians, talking abut Civil War should be liable for the exact same charge.

In January, Paula White asked her followers to send her "a portion of their first month's salary".

"Paula is challenging you to put first things first... and [to] honor God with a significant first fruits offering today. Many give one day's wages, other's one week, still others a portion of their first month... 2019 will be the year of recovery and supernatural advancement for you."

A reality show President being advised by another con artist. You built that, Trump supporters.

Prosperity gospel preachers are just the people Jesus would get angry as a hornet at and overturn their tables. Oh well, maybe they'll all be reincarnated as destitute Somalis. It would serve them right.

To the rich man who wanted to follow Him:

"If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven."

Prosperity gospel believers = Calvinists. I'd rather be poor, homeless and hungry than be one of them
