In an internal memo, the senior American diplomat in northern Syria criticized the Trump administration for failing to try harder to deter Turkey from invading northern Syria last month.

Removing US troops and the US flag wasn't deterrent enough? Sheesh. What do they want?

Shouldn't this be the UN getting involved or perhaps nations in the region.

Did our envoy tell this to Putin directly, or did he go through Putin's puppet?

The warmongering of the MIC and their lapdog Dems is becoming dangerous.

1.) We have ZERO right to be in Syria
2.) We have ZERO right to engage in military battles in Syria
3.) We have ZERO right to establish a long-term safe zone or hold Syrian oil fields within Syria

I just don't understand the Dem fascination with thinking Syria is the 51st state. If they want to do something that will actually impact Americans - go create a safe zone in Mexico - I suggest a 10 mile strip on both sides of the border.

True enough. Republicans have fought the MIC for decades. I'll give them credit for that.

The GOP (and many still within the GOP) have unabashedly called for unending regime change wars. Trump is a major exception and one of the main reasons that I support him now. The Dems have completely changed from their anti-war stance from the Bush II years. Tulsi sees it - it is reality after all. Why you cheer for war now just because the Dems tell you to do so is kinda sad.

If a Turkish leader's son claims "muh Russians", even if it be what do, what then?

I'm detecting a wee bit of sarcasm.

I have to admit that our pull out was typically the Republican action when it came to the Kurds. First promise them support if they will ally with us then desert them. This isn't the first time. George HW Bush did it and so did George W Bush. Republicans don't respect promises, they want to use allies like Trump used contractors. When it comes time to provide the support they were promised he just says "sue me." Republicans who support that thinking are as awful as he is.

I don't know except that ISIS was a threat to everyone in the ME. I never wanted us to go there but once we got there and convinced the Kurds to be our allies we had a commitment to them that should have been honored. Don't worry though, no one else will probably ever trust us enough to ally with us in the future, Trump has taken care of that.

Oil

Nothing is more important than oil!

The USA isn't important anymore. Thanks to Humpy and his Deplorables. That why we are leaving. We don't matter. Our allies don't matter. It doesn't matter that Putin is more important now.

Because Dear Leader has decided. Humpy ain't making no money in Syria.

No further discussion is needed.

Fighting ISIS over there so we wouldn't have to fight them over here. At least that is what your side told us. Remember that war on terror thing? Are we surrendering now? The Kurds were our boots on the ground and bore the brunt of the casualties. Now we are walking away.
