The New York Supreme Court ordered Donald J. Trump to pay $2 million in damages for improperly using charitable assets to intervene in the 2016 presidential primaries and further his own political interests. The award is part of Attorney General James' lawsuit against the Donald J. Trump Foundation and its directors -- Mr. Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump. As part of the settlement, Attorney General James also announced that her office entered into multiple stipulations with the Trump Foundation and its directors to resolve the remaining claims in the lawsuit. Chiefly, Mr. Trump admits to personally misusing funds at the Trump Foundation, and agrees to restrictions on future charitable service and ongoing reporting to the Office of the Attorney General in the event he creates a new charity.

"The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000. I won't settle this case!" He lied.

How Christian of our Jesus-loving president! Was this theft of charitable funds preapproved by Trump's spiritual advisor?

Hard to see where this idea Donald Trump is some sort of criminal comes from.

What kind of "billionaire" has to pilfer a public charity to pay his bills?

You Trumpturds should be proud.

His supporters are ok with him raising money for veterans and then using it as his own personal slush fund because.....they are f*****g crazy.

"What kind of "billionaire" has to pilfer a public charity to pay his bills?"

His daughter and son-in-law were desperate for a loan of 1 billion dollars and were turned down for $500 Million by Qatar. So why didn't "billionaire" Daddy Trump loan it to them? Cuz he doesn't have it. Donald Trump is a failure of a business man and lives off of his "fame" by licensing his name to other people who actually own most of the Trump properties. Watch how long it takes him to pay his 2 Million dollar fine.

Money raised for veterans was diverted to his campaign. Der Dotard made a big to-do about his 'fundraising event', doing that rather than attending a debate. Actions speak louder than words...

As expected, not a single Trumpeteer has a word to say about the Conman in Chief's own admitted law breaking. A bunch of cowards and traitors just like Lindsey Graham.

I'm sure all of the Republican Superpatriots who fall in their fainting couches when a football player takes a knee are completely outraged by a President of the United States who steals from veterans.

Yeah Repubs... go after Hunter Biden. It will be FUN to have Jared Kushner under oath at a public hearing about relatives of politicians misusing their connections for personal financial gain.

I'm sure JeffJ will be on any moment now, taking Trump to task with AT LEAST as much keystroke effort as he did accusing Hillary Clinton of far less than Trump has now admitted doing.

Jeff took the fact the Clinton Foundation's donations cratered after HRC lost the election as PROOF of corruption. I can't wait to see how Jeff lays into Trump for a CONVICTION for corruption.

Wait...it's been 24 hours, and not a peep from the CF's chief critic?!?

#27 | Posted by Danforth at 2019-11-08 10:41 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Mr. Trump and the Foundation have admitted key facts about their illegal political coordination with the Trump campaign, including that a purported Foundation fundraiser in January 2016 was in fact a campaign event, and that Foundation gave the Trump campaign complete control over the timing, amounts, and recipients of the $2.8 million raised through that event. Mr. Trump further admits that he and his campaign took credit for the grants that the Foundation made with funds that had been raised from the public.

Additionally, Mr. Trump admitted a number of key facts about the other self-dealing transactions he initiated as chair " specifically, that he used Foundation funds to settle legal obligations of companies he controlled, and that the Foundation paid for a portrait of Mr. Trump that cost $10,000. As separate piece of the settlement Donald Trump Jr. reimbursed the Foundation for the cost of the portrait. The settlement also requires the Foundation to be reimbursed $11,525 for sports paraphernalia and champagne purchased at a charity gala.

Breathtaking.

Under any normal administration this is a scandal that would haunt them for months, if not years. But Trump is such a disgusting piece of shhit that this will barely even register.

Trump could steal from a veteran's charity and not lose any supporters.

That's a little bit surprising from the crowd that supported the blackballing of Kaepernick for what they claimed was showing disrespect for veterans.

The funniest line from the article:
The settlements also include mandatory training requirements for Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump.

Did you catch that? No one ever taught these kids you're not supposed to steal money from a charity, so a judge just ordered them to learn.

If they did, it would follow this 10-step evolution:
1. Fake news. Never happened.
2. Where's your proof it happened? Witch hunt!
3. The judge is a foreigner.
4. The process is not being properly followed. Who wants pizza? I'm drunk.
5. Benghazi!
6. Monica Lewinski was all about perjury.
7. Biden and his son are bad.
8. So what if Trump misused a few dollars here and there? He's losing hundreds of millions of dollars serving our nation as president.
9. It might have been wrong, but it wasn't impeachable wrong.
10. Even it is impeachable, we are ready to fight another civil war and kill many Americans if you try to remove him.

And one of those recipients of illegal campaign contributions paid out of funds from the Trump Foundation, $25,000 to Pam Bondi, then Florida Attorney General, who two weeks after getting the illegal campaign contribution decided that Florida was NOT going participate in the multi-state lawsuit against Trump University, well she just landed a job in the Trump White House, as the newest member of his impeachment defense team.

It's like right out of the 'Godfather', "If I do this favor for you, one day I will call upon you to do a service for me."

For the story about Bondi joining the Trump team, and getting a taxpayer-paid job as a 'special government employee' (which means that she does NOT have to comply with the same ethic rules as regular federal employees have to), select the link below:
