First hand information confirmed by two separate US officials present in Kyiv.

Mr. Sonderland's got some explainin' to do as do all the Trumpers who've followed him into his blind alley of lies which they won't be able to get out of unscathed.

The real issue here is, if Congress can get Sundland, and now these TWO embassy staffers, swearing under oath that this call between Sundland and Trump actually did take place and that Trump was heard asking about the status of the 'investigations', and if Trump continues to deny that the call ever took place, or at least (keeping in mind his claim that "I have 'one of the great memories of all-time'") he says he can't recall this conversation, it could prove to be very problematic for Trump and could lead some Senators to have second thoughts.

I mean, who to buh-lieve? Embassy staffers or that well-known truth-teller Donald Trump.

SO difficult!

... A second U.S. Embassy staffer in Kyiv overheard a cellphone call between President Donald Trump and his ambassador to the European Union discussing a need for Ukrainian officials to pursue "investigations," ...

Aside from the obvious question of why the US Ambassador to the European Union is spending so much time on Ukranian issues when Ukraine is not a part of the EU....

Amb Sondland was sitting in a Ukrainian cafe, talking on an insecure cell-phone with Pres Trump. That means that Pres Putin knew about the conversation within minutes, if not sooner.

With that level of knowledge, Pres Putin will probably be talking with Pres Trump to make sure that the US does not help Ukraine too much in its fight against Russian aggression.

Has Pres Trump, in the ineptitude that his Republican allies ascribe to him during this Ukraine mess, been actively helping an enemy of the United States invade an ally of the United States?

Something the alt-right likes to ignore is that the aide being with-held was military aide when our ally Ukrainians were being killed by Putin's allies.. which apparently includes Trump.

It'll be a damn shame if Trump doesn't get that permit from Putin for his Trump Moscow hotel after all this effort.

This is where the "3 dimensional chess" aspect of this scheme comes into play. Don't forget that one of the goals of getting Zelensky to announce investigations into Bidens/Burisma was to solidify two absolute things: 1) Ukraine's former governments were indeed corrupt and 2) Said corruption was directed against both Donald Trump AND Putin's Russia, who was wrongly blamed for interfering in the 2016 US election when it was Ukraine instead that was trying to help Hillary and hurt Donald, all existent evidence to the contrary be damned.

In my eyes, such a public mea culpa would have strengthened both Trump's and Putin's hands while obviously putting US Democrats into a likely defensive posture while unleashing the Republican's wrath that sanctions against Russia should be lifted and putting Putin's Crimea invasion into a "what would you expect him to do under the circumstances (?)" category.

IMO, such a confluence of events would have equated to Putin's wildest dreams, and I have little doubt that Putin himself was the architect behind this entire scheme, having put the root ideas in Trump's vacant skull to begin with during one of their many personal, unrecorded conversations and meetings.

This and now there are reports that the person that signed the hold on the funds to Ukraine is breaking with the Administration's request not to testify, is going to testify over the weekend. It sure looks like this ship is taking on water at an increasing rate.

Meanwhile, back back at the ranch...

Giuliani Faces U.S. Probe on Campaign Finance, Lobbying Breaches
www.bloomberg.com

...Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, is being investigated by federal prosecutors for possible campaign finance violations and a failure to register as a foreign agent as part of an active investigation into his financial dealings, according to three U.S. officials.

The probe of Giuliani, which one official said could also include possible charges on violating laws against bribing foreign officials or conspiracy, presents a serious threat to Trump's presidency from a man that former national security adviser John Bolton has called a "hand grenade."

A second official said Giuliani's activities raise counterintelligence concerns as well, although there probably wouldn't be a criminal charge related to that. The officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, provided the first indication of the potential charges under investigation.

Giuliani is a central figure in the U.S. House impeachment inquiry, which focuses on an effort led by the former New York City mayor to pressure Ukraine's government to investigate the president's political rivals. If Giuliani is charged or indicted, he could expose Trump to a new level of legal and political jeopardy, especially if he's accused of committing a crime on the president's behalf.

"I would not be surprised if he gets indicted," said Mimi Rocah, a former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. "It's clear Giuliani is up to his ears in shady stuff and there's tons of smoke."...

The interesting aspect of Mr Giuliani's involvement in the Ukraine situation is that Mr Giuliani was acting as Pres Trump's personal lawyer, not as an employee of the US Government.

Keep grasping at those straws boys. The ratings for the next installment of impeachment hearings will be down 50% or more. You have lost public support for your witch hunt. You can admit it and try to save some dignity or you can continue the charade and will get Dems in the house voting against articles of impeachment. There is no way this ends well for the Dems. Trump's 4D chess move of calling Nancy a 3rd rate politician and forcing her 'rage impeachment' was a masterstroke. First speaker to lose the House twice come 2020 - and she has herself to blame for it.

So, in other words, there are parts of this investigation that the public doesn't know yet people STILL think their opinions are valid and that they know what's going on. The public is so blind yet thinks they are so enlightened that it's very easy to see why people can be controlled so easily.

^does it matter?

If Trump was calling about a QPQ with Ukraine it could have been Big Bird on the other end and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.
