Roger Stone and Donald Trump's complicated 30-year history
qz.com

There's an interesting picture of citizen Trump and Mr Stone in 1999, after Trump left the Republican Party to explore a presidential bid as a member of the "Reform Party," in the qz.com article.

Pres Trump nowadays is probably tweeting, ~ I barely knew him...~

5,4,3,2,1....Pardon!

Roger Stone has only TWO opportunities before him if he wants to avoid dying in prison. First, he needs to pray that Trump pardons him, but that may take some time, at least a year or until after the 2020 elections and if Trump wins, perhaps it's be five years. So he may want to pick 'Door #2', that is, turn 'state's evidence' and agree to come before Congress and tell the world what you know about Trump and how he conducted his campaign with respect to the Russians hacking of the DNC servers and the subsequent release of emails by Wikileaks.

Another aspect of this guilty finding...

It is yet another verification of what Mr Mueller found and documented.

Buh-Bye.

Wait, now I get the Nixon tat: anti-rape kit for prison, no one wants to look Tricky Dick in the eye when railing your cellmate.

I saw a lawyer post this on reddit:

When you accept a pardon, you can no longer be held accountable for the pardoned crime, so you lose your 5th amendment right to remain silent about that crime and you can be compelled to testify against your co conspirators, or be imprisoned until you do.

So that means if trump pardons stone, then stone can be forced to testify about trump.

Where are the deplorables?

They should be crapping all over this!

Justifying trump and his cronies massive attempts at obstruction of justice corruption as just a means to an ends.

Won't do any good. Stone has effectively canceled himself out.

He is a convicted liar. Nothing he says can be trusted now. Even uf it was the truth. He is worthless as a witness.

Accepting a pardon is also an admission of guilt.

"I do not recall" is Reagan's gift to presidents for all time.

Yet another court case that points to criminal wrongdoing by POTUS, this time in the form of perjury.

Stone worked very closely with Impeachment Donnie on the Wikileaks connection. Donnie, under oath, couldn't recall ANY conversations about Wikileaks...never had anything to do with them, never heard of Wikileaks...LOL.

Whoops.

Which now puts POTUS on the record, in court for:

Felony campaign finance violations as Individual 1

His illegal activity with the Clint, I mean, Drumpf Foundation: "Mr. Trump's fiduciary duty breaches included allowing his campaign to orchestrate the Fundraiser, allowing his campaign, instead of the Foundation, to direct distribution of the Funds, and using the Fundraiser and distribution of the Funds to further Mr. Trump's political campaign," which he was forced to stipulate (admit) in court "A review of the record, including the factual admissions in the Final Stipulation, establishes that Mr. Trump breached his fiduciary duty to the Foundation and that waste occurred to the Foundation."

And now his written testimony to the FBI in the Mueller probe exposes him to perjury charges.

Great week for Russiapublicans, all around! Heckuva job!

"I do not recall" is Reagan's gift to presidents for all time.

Back in the day there was a "Reagan's Watching" app on the Mac which was just Reagan's head in the middle of the screen and his eyes would follow the cursor around. But if you put the cursor between his eyes to make him crosseyed, he would give a sound bite from Iran-Contra, like "I do not remember any meeting" or "That I don't recall."

That was a great app.

Well. In his defense. He was shot in the head and his brains got scrambled.

But, Reagan was truly the first successful puppet president. So he wasn't actually required to do anything other than wave to the cameras while his rich handlers started the recreation of our government.

Because if he's pardoned then he can be forced to testify against trump. So if trump doesn't pardon him that means trump knows stone could provide damaging testimony against him. But trump isn't the type of guy who could have anything damaging in the closet is he?

This is nothing! The Dems were even worse when the Deep State RINOed a Nothing Burger on the Fake News after Benghazi Clinton had the Steele Dossier all Tan Suited up and ready to Biden some Monica Lewinski until Epstein died!

But do you even mention that? No.

So Roger Stone is now a CONVICTED felon. He can stop whining about how this was all just politics. A jury of his peers heard the evidence, listened to his lawyers arguments and found him GUILTY of everything of which he was accused. He is a criminal, plain and simple. (Or is that just too difficult for you rightwingers to understand?)

I suspect it is not a difficulty in the ability of rightwingers to acknowledge the criminality of those they support so strongly.

But that it is the will and want of rightwingers not to acknowledge the criminality of those they support so strongly.

They just do not want to acknowledge it.

Wow, yet another Trump associate heading to jail? There has to be some Deep State shenanigans going on. There's just no way that The Donald would surround himself with a bunch of criminals and lowlifes. He hires only the very best, people who put America before themselves first!

You're only considering verbal testimony. If Stone does try to cut some sort of deal at this point it could be that he is in possession of yet to be discovered evidence, texts, email, knowledge of other witnesses who have yet been questioned, etc.

Anyway, I doubt he will try to cut a deal. He's already taken the bullet to protect Trump. I don't see him changing at this point. Then again I imagine the very real prospect of spending the rest of your life in prison could be a powerful motivator.

#17 is the important conclusion. Who cares about Roger Stone. It is his lies in an effort to obstruct Mueller's probe of Trump's treason that is the key takeaway.
A lot of Trumpers (all?) have lied to cover up what they were doing with Russians.

Why are all of Trump's 'best' people being convicted of crimes by the Trump DoJ, while Hillary, after years of partisan investigations, was TOTALLY EXONERATED!

Is Hillary that clever or are Goppers that stupid? Both?

Rick Wilson @TheRickWilson

Roger Stone wanted to be Roy Cohn.

Donald Trump wanted a Roy Cohn.

Roger vamped and played at it, but forgot one thing; Roy Cohn died penniless, alone, and humiliated.

Donald Trump abandoned Roy Cohn.

Should have been a lesson.

He should not be released from prison for life, but if he will sing then he could go to one of the federal country club prisons. He could redeem himself slightly by exposing the particular vein of dirty politics he practices.
