He's right. This is the city of Denver's problem and responsibility. They essentially ignore these transients because they really don't know quite what to do about them. The business owner is then subsequently effected by the city's negligence to solve the problem and then punished. They're pushing the problem onto the law abiding citizen.

We're upside down.

They don't want to do anything about them.

The business owner is then subsequently effected by the city's negligence to solve the problem and then punished.

Is only allowed to clean up the waste not prevent it...

San Francisco residents bought boulders to deter homeless people on their block. The city says the rocks weren't big enough.

What did Johnny Fever on WKRP say to do?
Along the lines of, 'every body pick up the ---- and deposit on the City Hall lawn. Or better yet, go ---- on the lawn'.
Seems an appropriate response. If the city won't enforce the law in front of his building, how can they enforce it in front of theirs?

Reminds me of living in an HOA community.

Doesn't matter the reason. If your property isn't up to their code, you're getting fined.

They're city hall. They can do that, and you can't beat them.

I agree with the businessman in this instance. The problem belongs to the city, therefore the remediation of the problem also rests with the city.

These feces are not like the snow here in the Northeast (of which I have 8 hours to clear my sidewalks).

The feces are a human problem, not a Mother Nature problem.

imo, the city should do the cleaning to help attract and maintain businesses in the city.

Once the city starts seeing the cost of such cleaning, maybe then the city will start resolving the actual root problem. (OK, cut me some slack, sometimes I like to dream of a utopia... :) )

Used pressure washer, small: $200.
Crack addict to use it once a day on the the needle-heads: $5.
Problem solved.
What kind of idiot businessman is this guy? This one is a no-brainer.

I'm South, but 8 hours to clear snow? Oh, in front of your business, right? Not your home? That does make sense.

I have like 30 seconds to shoot a coyote if it's on public sidewalks. When a water line bursts, if it's before the meter it's the cities problem. If it's behind the meter it's your problem.

Funny, but people have already been charged with assault by pressure washer.

@#9 ... but 8 hours to clear snow? ...

After a snow storm, you have 8 hours to clear the snow from your sidewalks of your residence.

Ticket and fine folks with no assets to pay? Why not just light money on fire, if that's your goal?
