Attorney General Bill Barr attacked "the left" in an aggressive speech Friday night to the Federalist Society, a conservative group of lawyers that has provided President Donald Trump with many of his judicial nominees.

After decades of ranting about a too powerful Federal government, this is where "conservatism" is now? We need a unitary executive?

If a president rapes children alongside Jeffry Epstein, he can't even be investigated for that until he leaves office? Which he no longer has any objective motivation to leave?

Impeach.

Bill Barr was specifically chosen because he is so spectacularly partisan.

Everyone involved in Trump's corrupt scheme should be charged and impeached. Anyone who refuses to testify under oath (along with the President) should be immediately fired or impeached.

Thank you clown!

I was just looking for that.

He made similarly despicable comments about religion. He needs to go.

I think we all recognize that over the past 50 years religion has been under increasing attack.

On the one hand, we have seen the steady erosion of our traditional Judeo-Christian moral system and a comprehensive effort to drive it from the public square.

On the other hand, we see the growing ascendancy of secularism and the doctrine of moral relativism.

By any honest assessment, the consequences of this moral upheaval have been grim.

Virtually every measure of social pathology continues to gain ground.

The irony is that Bill Barr is a member of Opus Dei, a cult-like group of ultra-conservative Catholics who have aligned themselves to Donald Trump in a campaign to limit the rights of LGBTQ Americans, immigrants and non-Christians, especially Muslims, and to criminalize almost all abortions. One of their goals is to destroy any semblance of a separation between church and state. They support the idea that only Christians should be allowed to hold public office and that taxpayer funds should be used to support private Christian-only schools.

Thank goodness these mentally ill individuals are running our government.

Lol, Barr was always praised (and confirmed) by the left. Now that he has exposed them he is a bum.

Democrats should actually be concerned by his speech.

To me it suggests the Durham and Horowitz investigations have found some things. He's been very careful with his words up to this point. I doubt he'd all of a sudden get reckless with his words.

"To me it suggests the Durham and Horowitz investigations have found some things."

To me it suggests deflection. Claiming the impeachment actions are stopping a bill on gun control flies in the face of logic: the Republicans have blocked legislation every other time, regardless what the Dems were doing.

With a partisan stooge like Barr as AG, of course they found "something".
