Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, November 17, 2019

This is going to sound quite radical, but it's true, so you need to believe it: The Constitution is a wholly illegitimate document to which we owe no loyalty whatsoever. To be honest, that should only sound radical if you don't think women, African Americans, and Native Americans are people. If you do believe that women are people, then the fact that they were excluded from the Constitution's drafting and ratification means that it has about as much legal and moral force as if I declared myself king of the world. The vast majority of the country had no input into the founding governance document. It was imposed on them by force. I do not see why they owe it respect.

Right, who needs a document that inhibits the government from running rampant over We The People? Why should the government be restrained by ceding rights to the people and the states...... Why we do not even need boarders if we do not want to be a nation, so let's just be an open territory with no strict/defined laws to inhibit our wants..

I would also add, numchar limits aren't any fun either on the phone.

That being said, i see liberals here seem to agree with the article.

It seems you don't understand what the phrase "We the people..." means.

"Andy is an anti-american "

Well he admits as much, in that he's betting on America's demise, and he's really just here to get more tax cuts in the meantime.

Progs, question:

What's your plan for replacing it?

"Progs, question: What's your plan for replacing it?"

Why are you asking them? Ask the thread's poster. From what I've seen, "progs" just want the Constitution followed, including the emoluments clause, and that part about Congress being a check on the Executive branch.

Why are you asking them?

1. Because they seem the most supportive of the idea.
2. I'm interested to hear what they would recommend as a replacement.

Stalin's Constitution of 1936 would be ideal.

"The Constitution was portrayed, including by Stalin himself, as a model for the "Progressive World." It guaranteed freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly. It provided an economic bill of rights guaranteeing national healthcare, social security, free education, and other social benefits"

Looks like Nulli want to replace the constitution with Stalin's constitution.

Which, comes at no surprise. He's had a hard on for Stalin since the 60s.

"Because they seem the most supportive of the idea.'

You're projecting.

No one is as supportive as the folks who suggest ignoring the emoluments clause, or claim the House doing its Constitutional duty is somehow un-Constitutional.

#21 I would argue that no-one is as supportive as the folks who believe all speech is free speech.

Is that headline even english?

" The Constitution is a wholly illegitimate document to which we owe no loyalty whatsoever. "

Fat Nixon has been operating that way since day one.

Clearly the cancervative view is that Congress is only a check on the Executive branch when there is a democrat in the oval office.

God help him if he gets a BJ by a chubby intern.

It's not just fat Nixon that has the nincompoops disturbed, it's that whole church and state separation thing too.

In fact, I think the latter is more important to them because they can keep their racism and hatred inside the church as state modality.

What, you really think that just because of this one random article progressives suddenly want to do away with the Constitution?

Meanwhile Trump is spitting on the Constitution every day.
