While testifying in the impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill, the White House's former top Russia expert, Fiona Hill, said her boss, former national security adviser John Bolton, instructed her to tell lawyers she was not part of the "drug deal" Gordon Sonland and Mick Mulvaney were "cooking up."

Wherin we learn the new Nunes meme that it was Mueller's Fault for investigating Trump which led Trump to assign his personal attny Rudy G. to ignore the NSC Ukraine desk and use Sondland to pursue domestic-personal, see; dirt on Biden rather than use official channels such as Fiona Hill.

She has turned this meme into a slap in the face for Nunes.

lol, again under Jordan's questioning, Holmes emphasizes that everyone did know early on that Trump was holding out for dirt on Biden before he would release the military aid.

Fiona Hill again, Amb Yevonivich was smeared because she refused to be politicized by Trump.

Her boss was Bolton, and her testimony makes it clearer why Bolton was-is so pissed.

I loved this exchange:

[After description of Sondland's initial portion of the restaurant phone call concerning Ukraine President's willingness to open investigations]

"What did President Trump say next?"

"He said 'Good. Now what about Sweden?'"

"He said 'Good'?! That's it? Why didn't you include that in your opening remarks? That seems to be the most important factor to come out of your testimony! After bribing and extorting the Ukrainian President, all President Trump had to say was 'Good'?!"

"Mr. Sondland and President Trump moved on to a secondary topic involving Sweden."

[House Republicans throw fit, tossing papers.]

GOP Hurd (R-TX): Yes, Trump did ask for a quid pro quo for personal gain (as established in the impeachment section of the Constitution).... but that doesn't matter.

"I briefed the call in detail to the deputy chief of mission, went away for a week, come back, referred to the call, and everyone is nodding, of course that's what's going on. Of course the president is pressing for a Biden investigation before he'll do these things the Ukrainians want," Holmes said. "It was nodding agreement. So did I go through every single word of the call? No, because everyone by that point agreed. It was obvious what the president was pressing for, and Ambassador Taylor, as you just outlined, had all those other interactions."

So much like Sondland, he didn't need the President or anyone else to explicitly say a quid pro quo was demanded. The environment and context involved was enough for everyone to PRESUME what was actually transpiring.

Implicit is just as damning in this vein as explicit.

Incredibly damning for Trump.

The two July 10th meetings in the WH in front of Ukraine diplomats that Bolton's employee Fiona Hill reported to the WH attnys on Bolton's instructions are the stake in the heart of the idea that top admin officials didn't know about Trump's quid pro quo demand for his own personal gain early on in the process.

Trump's phone call to Pres Z reminding the Ukraine that they needed to get some dirt on Biden if they wanted the military aid they needed....

... that call came the day after Mueller testified to Trump's asking the Russians to get Hillary's emails, which they tried to do the same day Trump asked them to, and Trump's obstruction of that investigation just confirmed that Trump believed he was above the law; he was at it again the next day.

FACT: Biden strong armed Ukraine with US Tax dollars for his crackhead son to keep making big money for the "family".

There was bipartisan support in "reforming the judiciary" of Ukraine. And many of our allies ALSO supported the removal of the prosecutor. Bidens actions CLEARLY furthered a US policy, regardless of how it impacted his personal matters (though, from what I understand, one of the reasons we wanted his removal was for his REFUSAL to prosecute companies like Burisma).

FACT: Executive Branch of Government is responsible for investigating such issues.

Sure. But Sondland said that Trump was only interested in ANNOUNCING the investigation, not in said investigation actually being carried out (probably because he knew that nothing would be found regardless since Joe Biden did nothing wrong).

FACT: We have a treaty that specifically says we will cooperate in each other's investigation.

There is investigation on the US side into Burisma or the Bidens. So, what were they cooperating with. Also, Trump was not asking for "cooperation". He was asking for an "announcement" (scheduled for September 13 on CNN).

FACT: Trump is the head of the Executive Branch of Government. It was Trump's duty to investigate the deal.

Again, we heard testimony that Trump did not care about the investigation, only the announcement.

Side note: Biden was not his political opponent when the investigations began. He was just another corrupt ex-politician at the time.

Biden IS his political opponent. If Trump went after ANY declared democratic candidates for president it would have been similarly inappropriate. But, at that point, Biden was the frontrunner in the democratic nomination, so it was logical to assume that Trump was likely to face Biden in the general election.

#35 | POSTED BY BOGEY1355

Just because you are a conservative does not mean you can put "FACT:" in front of something and it makes it true. You may be copying that from something you saw a liberal do, but in that case the text after "FACT:" was probably something supported by actual evidence or, you know, reality. You might want to try to wrap your head around THAT concept and, maybe, try to emulate it.

As the NSC's Fiona Hill (not to be confused with Ollie North's Fawn Hall) so eloquently pointed out, it was not the Ukraine that interfered with US elections, it was Russia.

All this Republican faux-angst against the Ukraine and Biden is just a smokescreen and has absolutely nada to do with Trump's bribe offer. Much like their hard on for the whistleblower, who also has absolutely nothing to do with Trump's bribe offer.

Well, unless one subscribes the rwing memes that Mueller or Biden or the Ukraine made Trump try to obtain a personal benefit from the withholding of US military aid to an ally.

Obama let Russia invade Ukraine, take Crimea and turn off the gas pipe to Europe, without letting Ukraine have lethal aid. While he was at it, he let everybody and anybody, apparently, loot Ukraine's bounty.
