Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, November 28, 2019

"A lot of the violence in the U.S. is because of the drugs going in from Mexico, and a lot of the violence in Mexico is because of the guns coming from the U.S.," one high-ranking former Mexican intelligence official told Fox News, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "Many of the cartels in Mexico are being paid by counterparts in the U.S. not only with money but with guns." Some estimates - including a recent study published in Oxford's Journal of Economic Geography - have pegged the number of guns crossing the U.S-Mexico border at over 200,000 annually.

Over 33,000 people were murdered in Mexico last year alone.

"Mexico is a horrifying example of what can happen to a people who are disarmed and left helpless to be preyed upon by armed criminals," added Frank Miniter, the editor in chief of the NRA's magazine America's 1st Freedom. "Some Mexican citizens have tried, desperately and as a last resort, to band together with whatever weapons they can gather to protect themselves."

There but for the Grace of Gawd go I.

All governments see it as their job to leave their citizens defenseless (and rob them blind... but that's another story). The criminals will of course NEVER be defenseless.

If it weren't for the fact that it's part of my religion to be armed and that we don't give a frak what some politician or liberal or liberal politician thinks and that we are VERY GOOD at making our own guns... life would become risky. The GoP (govt of Pak) has no choice but to allow people to own guns legally. Or else we'll just do it illegally. Hell, we make 'em by the ton anyway. LOL

I am proud to see our guns are showing up in Mexico now.

As for the USA.. join the NRA. Protect your freedom.

Just round up the crazies running around. Which you can't.... or else you would have started from the top with DOTARD.

Now all you frustrated libs get together and give this post as many FF as you can.

Tell that to conservatives. Who blamed Obama and Holder for a gunwalked "gun that killed people". Were they responsible for the person who pulled the trigger? No. They were responsible for the "inanimate object" (through Fast and Furious) that person used to kill a border patrol agent. And it was CONSERVATIVES that declared that border patrol agent's death OBAMA'S FAULT because the gun ("inanimate object") that he was responsible for killed someone.

On that day, conservatives declared that "guns kill people". Now, I will not disagree with you that conservatives make "stupid statements". But, it seems that the idea that "guns kill people" has broad bipartisan support. At least, it does when you can tie a liberal to the gun.

Guns... while killing less people... are VERY efficient and you use them with intent.

So of course guns are good at what they are made to do. If they weren't, why the hell would we be interested in them?
