Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, November 30, 2019

The link is for info only. At Thanksgiving it's a rule NO talking about politics, religion, the family owned business, gossip, etc period. After early Black Friday shopping(I don't participate in) we gather again for leftovers and college ball where there are NO rules with regards to subjects. The transgender bathrooms came up. Two people said they were boycotting businesses with transgender bathrooms. I asked which businesses? I have seen a ladies room sign, mens room sign and a 'family' room sign but never a sign claiming transgender bathrooms. So it changed to if they ever saw a business with one they would boycott it. Question? Have you ever seen a bathroom with a sign designating the bathroom as a transgender bathroom? Are there signs announcing them?

When I moved to Minneapolis a few years ago, I noticed their public libraries simply had single-person bathrooms with locks. I thought to myself, "Future controversy averted." Sure enough, no controversy.

#1 I have done nothing but support your decision since you posted the newspaper article, may not agree with your opinions, but that is NOT hating transgenders. The hate you carry in your heart to anyone and all things with a different political opinion from you prevents you from seeing anything but that hate. And your post attacks me and does not answer my question. See? That's no way to go through life, hating. So have you seen a sign?

Agreed. I don't see how segregating males and females into different bathrooms doesn't qualify as discrimination from the start.

There is a cost to it, meaning per "toilet" you need more sinks, one of everything. Its easy at a coffee shop, harder at a large arena.

Where as at large arenas you might get by with an open urinal and no sink ;)

Men don't keep a nice restroom, I would imagine women would eventually protest, and rightly so.

It is discrimination, but a rational one, like spending holidays with family instead of strangers.

Personally I would prefer standards, but could careless, so long as there is a functional lock. Speaking of that I can forsee a CurbYourEnthusiasm episode where these inconsistencies make for some funny situations, and complaining.

This article is CNN.

I think we can pretty well assume the slant of the article.

I'm sure there's nothing really new or informative.

Just rewording the same points we've heard time and again.

Personally, so long as laws don't get passed restricting law enforcement from removing men from women's bathrooms no questions asked, I don't see it becoming a big issue.

That is unless you're a business stupid enough to go on the record like Target where I still will not shop.

I tried Popeye's chicken today and it was excellent.

New Orleans style flavoring.

Guess where I'll going when I want chicken now.

I didn't much like their gravy but the chicken was great.

Interesting thing to post in a thread about transgendered bathrooms. That said, if your comment was regarding Taco Bell, I could definitely see the connection.

Ira,

There was definitely a connection between the 2 posts.

You didn't pick up on it.
