Because it's the governors fault? Homelessness has nothing to do with politics. It's based in resources, climate and mental illiness for the most part. homeless people don't really have a chance in a red sate town like Paducah, KY. Those banjo playing fools can barely feed themselves. But thanks for outing yourself an anti-humanitarian. Maybe we can just sink all the homeless to the bottom of the ocean?

Maybe we can just sink all the homeless to the bottom of the ocean?

Or maybe they could start taking care of themselves and stop being a burden on society?

From www.onekingdom.org

What can we learn from Boaz's response to Ruth?
He recognized this "foreigner" and greeted her as "My daughter" (2:8). We see here a welcoming term of endearment for a fellow human being who was both a stranger and impoverished. Boaz did not shun her or consider her inferior. No, he made room for her in the circle of his community. This is reminiscent of Christ addressing women as "daughter" (Mark 5:34) and "child" (Luke 8:54). He was welcoming and inclusive, not shunning and dismissive, toward the impoverished foreigner. Boaz understood the heart of God

LOL .... apparently you must be pretty young..

When Bush became president homelessness was all the PRESS could talk about.

Whenever a Republican is President the homelessness problem rears its ugly head.

Only this time, Trump as put the blame where it belongs ..

Democrat inability to zone properly....

I suggest you put this wish in one hand and a pile of bum dung in the other and we'll see which one fills up first.
Aren't you a member of the so-called "party of reality"?

I'm old enough to remember the Regan days when funding was cut for mental illness.

Most homeless people aren't capable of taking care of themselves- that's how they got where they're at. A big majority of them are mentally ill.

Well, she was barefoot.

And Ruth was offering something of value. She was a good woman. Willing to work.

Today's homeless, those who arent mentally ill, mostly have given up on trying to succeed and have deemed it too hard. So they sit around and become eyesores and try to force attention on them.

Are there people who fall on hard times? Yes, but alot of them have the gumption to get back on their feet and truly use the social safety net temporarily.

For alot of people, homelessness is a lifestyle.

Are asylums/prisons coming back in vogue as the humanitarian solution?

Despite fervent NIMBY efforts, California still managed to build enough shelter capacity. Shelters don't allow drugs and alcohol though. Without extreme weather events to drive people into the shelters, you're going to have to literally lock them into them.

Title fail. Replace "residents" with Russiapublicans for accuracy.

Is there a reasonable link for this? The cited article is a sentence.

Here's one I found, but I'm not sure how appropriate it is...

So is this a local thing or is this a San Francisco thing?
