Good. He shouldn't be able to hide them.

100% transparency from our politicians shouldn't be a partisan issue.

It should be demanded by every American.

This isn't even about getting docs from Trump. He can hide whatever he wants.

There is a tremendous difference between compelling a president to produce something and compelling some neutral financial services company to produce something.

If Trump didn't want Deutsche Bank to turn over his documents he shouldn't have given them his documents. He can't turn the subpoena process on its head just because he became president.

it simply needs to be important to everyone.

in a poll, almost everyone will say presidents and candidates for president should turn over these documents but unfortunately it's been obvious that it's not been that important of an issue to enough folks.

partisanship has been allowed to trump it.

Everyone would agree that the POTUS should not be allowed to hide their crimes. I think 100% of people would agree with this. It just depends on when you ask them. 2017 or 2014?

Why is the most transparentest Presidenter ever ever hiding things?

How many posts before somebody says "what about Obama's school records"?

I bet within the first 15.

Deutsche Bank (how appropriate sounding a name) was loaning Trump money when no US bank would touch him... and doing it under very suspicious circumstances.

What would be ironically funny would be if Wikileaks published his tax returns.

If the records show clear evidence of illegal activity then I'm interested. I think that once Congress gets their hands on them we'll mostly be subjected to a constant stream of leaks intended to embarrass, not convict.

Because no one will find anything in the documents that makes Trump look good.

Had the exact same thought during the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF, or "skiff") portion of the House Intelligence Committee hearings.

The Democrats kept leaking juicy parts, while the Republicans, who sat in on those very meetings, didn't leak a damn thing.

Because nothing said in the SCIF made Trump look good.

aka, trump's dirty little mouth?

The State of New York already has historical property tax and loan documents by the Trump Organization. These alone could sink Trump, not just with respect to his presidency, but in terms of the family company remaining a viable entity.

The DB story is really interesting, as no other bank in the world would give Donnie "Trust me, Casinos always lose money" Small Hands a loan. And the exec who reportedly signed off on the loans? Met the same fate as Jeffrey Epstein on November 19th...initial reports are suicide.

Wilbur Ross has some 'splainin' to do as well.

Assange didn't get his pardon yet, so maybe? At this point, Wikileaks works for the Russians, so if they're going to release the tax returns, they will probably add the pee tape for good measure (the latter would knock the tax returns out of the news immediately, and perhaps permanently).

Don't forget, it wasn't just the DNC server that was hacked. The RNC was also hacked, but Russia magically has not released any of that intel...it's more useful to them as kompromat.

"A federal appeals court rules that Deutsche Bank and Capital One must hand over years of President Trump's financial records in compliance with House Democrats' subpoenas."

If this ruling get kicked up to a higher court then Trump wins by losing. Endless appeals and gained time seems to be his ace-in-the-hole. It's already been reported that Trump has warned all third parties of a lawsuit should they release his records.

Trump is really going to be embarrassed when we get to see his financial records, through compulsion, right about the same time Bloomberg voluntarily releases his.

It might be better for Trump if the financial records, including his tax returns, were to come out now, 11 months before the election. If he appeals to the Supreme Court, which is the only option that he has if he decides to fight this ruling, the final opinion could hit the street only a month or two before election day, and if it doesn't go in his favor, it would still be fresh in the mind of the voters come the first week of November.

SCOTUS could just deny cert and we're done. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, Roberts is a Bush guy, and the neocons ---- hate Orange Furious. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they weren't trying to figure out the timing of a Romney primary...

"Trump is really going to be embarrassed"

Trump is so high on himself he doesn't even know "embarrassed."
