Congress, do your job.

Yes. As a Trumpite you take the view that impeachment is both too slow and too speedy.

This is a mistake. They should be pushing for the more top officials to testify and go through the Court process. I'd rather have a trial in June or July with their testimony on the record than have one in January or February without it.

When the senate republicans don't convict then what? The Dems should be focused on putting forth a decent candidate in 2020. This is just a waste of time.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

There are multiple facets to the timing of this, but it boils down to a few things: 1) the president committed obvious crimes, admitted it both verbally and in writing multiple times and will continue to commit said crimes until someone stops him. 2) there is an election in 2020, which means that his crimes are even more odious...not holding him to account would be akin to accepting it as fair game. He already petitioned Ukraine, China and previously, Russia to interfere in our elections, so he needs to be held accountable 3) the case against him is open and shut right now, he broke the law and just saying "No I didn't" isn't exculpatory and 4) there is nothing that Bolton is going to add, and the stalling tactic of waiting for the courts will take too long. Waiting until June or July (what magical event is going to happen in June or July that results in WH staffers suddenly deciding to appear before Congress and the production of subpoenaed evidence?)...holding up the impeachment until summer rewards Drumpf greatly.

Doing it now, and fast means the case is solid, and anyone who allows the behavior to continue is complicit. Get them on the record defending it. Hopefully, the messaging goes out that this behavior, and the new rules of the presidency are all fair game for the next Democrat who takes office - there is already 70% acknowledgement that POTUS did something wrong, and close to 60% approval for impeachment. The remaining 40% is. not. going. to. change. So, do it now, get the 60% to realize there's one Party that cares about America and one Party that doesn't, and hang that albatross on every Repubican that defends treason. Might flip some Senate seats, then all bets are off.

Least popular president in the history of the US, going into an election with a wholly legitimate impeachment on his record...who knows? Maybe some Russiapublicans will become Americans again. Not holding my breath, but Russia already won this round, so again, who knows?

No offense but the top officials they need to testify won't obey subpoenas nor testify. There is not benefit to holding the hearings longer considering that the Rethuglicans in the Senate won't vote to convict no matter what evidence is presented. Get this over with, impeach this piece of crap and then sit back and watch the Republican Senators try to make a mockery of it but I think the majority of Americans will see them for what they are. Partisan hacks defending the worst President in American history.
American voters should understand, Vladimir Putin has far more influence in our elections than we do. And the Republicans like it that way.

He broke the law? Maybe yess Maybe noo... who cares? Polls show Americans are bored to tears. If your a Trump supporter like I am you'll hope impeachment goes on and on and on...

Trump can make his case he is the underdog... while congress comes off as bully's.

Democrat Congressional Bully's... that will be the key word...

That, along with Deplorables and other Democrat names for American voters should energize Trumps very large base.

The one issue not being reported is the 401K... Mine is up to $27,000 just this year alone... Elect a democrat and the market is sure to go down and so will everyone's 401K.

This year, it will actually cost you to vote Democrat. Not voting for Trump???.... look at your 401k statement and imagine it being cut by half.

But regardless the Democrats will be to busy to fix the economy what with coming to get your guns and all...

He broke the law? Maybe yess Maybe noo... who cares? Polls .... blah blah blah

"Maybe" he broke the law and you don't care???

And NOW you care about polls?

Too late. If Trump is a victim it is of his own ignorance.

And...It no longer matters what the polls say. Now it is about the rule of law. And the concept that no man is above the law. This now about the Cons. It is out of our hands. The Constitutional process is in charge now. We will see if a sitting president is above the law.

Hang on. Mr Toad is about to get the Wild Ride he has been wanting.

Enjoy the show.

hmmm Ive seen no proof other than making a female ambassador cry... as for Ukrain... yea I would be hoping whoeve was president would investigate what's going on with the 150 million that been given.... but it wanna talk crimes...

How about that Hunter Biden?... KIcked out of the Navy with .. a Dishonorable Discharge for snorting coke up his nose.

Now he has knocked up some hillbilly hayseed and has decided not to pay child support. No doubt, these Bidens are a real classy bunch.... jeese...

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) " Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Judge Don McSpadden ordered Hunter Biden and Lunden Alexis Roberts to release their financial records from the past 5 years as a part of a child custody case, reports KATV content partner KAIT8.

The judge also ordered that all financial records shall be treated as "confidential financial information" and would be sealed.

Yea sure.... finally we get to find how corrupt the Bidens and Democrats are....

NOW that's some real law breaking and somehow.... no jail time..... hmmmm.....
Trump
and yet somehow it's Trump's fault.... The Hatred continues....

Impressive. You got all the greatest hits into one post and managed to not say anything relevant to the post. The mark of a true conservative. Bravo!

Obama never asked Putin to help him win an election.

Trump has asked Russia, China, and Ukraine to help him win elections.

TSM is more likely

trum Skid Marks

What's funny is you all think a guy who has to bribe Ukraine to help him in the campaign and has never had an approval rating above 50% is going to skate to victory because Sean Hannity told you so last night. LOL

What do you think more "room to maneuver after the election" means?

It means if you ask me now, I will have to put on a tough face, ask me after the election and I will be softer.

Its pretty much a "quid pro quo" if you go by today's liberal definition.

#17 Obviously Obama is asking for Russian help by offering a more accomodating relationship if helped...at LEAST as much a OPQ as POOPlosi is accusing...

What do you think more "room to maneuver after the election" means?

It means the same thing Bush meant when, after re-election, he said he had earned some political capital and he intends to spend it.

#19 | Posted by snoofy at 2019-12-07 12:46 AM | Reply

"room to maneuver" clearly implies a willingness to (maneuver) deal-making, if elected....hint hint...

Obama used diplomacy.
Very legal, very cool.

Trump used extortion on Ukraine and is being pandering to the worst dictatorships in the world.
