Rick Wilson: Donald Trump likes to call his opponents traitors -- but if he's looking for treasonous behavior, he should look within his own party.

From the linked opinion piece:

Traitors from Benedict Arnold to Klaus Fuchs to Aldrich Ames to Robert Hanssen sold out this country for a host of reasons, all explicable and unforgivable. The intelligence community even has a handy acronym for the motivations of traitors, and one that applies readily to known cases. The acronym is MICE: Money, Ideology, Compromise, and Ego. Pick a traitor and one of those reasons will underpin their betrayal.
Money and ego: Describes Trump to a "T".

You forgot the link, thereby depriving STS champs of their favorite argument. (for STSers, it's from the evil Federalist) - Posted by nullifidian at 2018-12-08 01:47 PM

I'm sure the Usual Idiots will reflexively STS on this thread, but I strongly suggest that you read the article before commenting, it really captures her mastery of social media and her relatability. - Posted by Rightocenter at 2018-12-08 01:39 PM

STS because it doesn't support your ideology. - Posted by nullifidian at 2018-12-08 09:36 AM

STS incoming in 3,2,1... - Posted by nullifidian at 2018-12-06 09:58 AM

He nailed the STS comment, While I wasn't referring to the American Thinker article I just assumed (correctly it turns out) that it summarized the report. - Posted by Rightocenter at 2018-12-03 04:54 PM

Ignoring reports does not treason make, especially fabricated ones.

FTA:

As the impeachment hearings have worn on and as evidence of the complete moral collapse of the Republican Party has become more and more evident, it has become quite obvious there really are traitors among us. There are elected officials who have made the decision to protect a corrupt president by embracing conspiracy theories, refusing to acknowledge sworn testimony of career foreign-service officials, and piling on to Trump's attack of democratic institutions.

100% true, no matter how much your cognition bias makes you want to believe they're "fabricated" reports.

Consistently favoring Russia's interests over the United States is treasonous, formal state of war or not.

Donald Trump will be remembered to history as a traitor. Not in George W. Bush's magic fifty years but starting five minutes after he is thrown out of office.

Whether or not Republicans admit it but the author of that editorial is a Republican and he is right. Donald Trump is an asset of Putin's and pretty much everyone knows it. My question for Republicans who post here; how can you be ok with that and still respect yourself as an American. Aren't y'all the folks who were so outraged when Colin Kaepernick took a knew but you're ok with Trump working for Putin?

People treat politics like sports.. they pick a team and then support them no matter how bad it gets...ask any Jets fan.

The problem is where sports are pure entertainment... politics have consequences.

When Trump retreated about a "Civil War"; that was HUGE, in my insane head. Actually, I think his poll numbers permanently dropped since then, which affirms my sense in TEAM USA. As pissed off as I am at the military industrial complex and police brutality, there is hope. I have friends who are soldiers and cops(one in Chicago?!?!) I still cheer for Team USA and get pissed off when a potential Team USA member plays for a different country . Also, soccer is better than football. www.mlssoccer.com

Seriously, though, if you wanna feel real "USA forever!" in your blood, get behind our soccer team. It's the most popular sport in the world, and we're doing a $#!+ job at the moment. Michael Bradley needs to F! off. Pulisic is awesome and if we do it right, we will do well in the next World Cup, or the following. Between the WC is the Concacaf, where we play Mexico, and Mexico always beats us, but they are @$$#013$ to the max, taking "gamesmanship" beyond its definition. Concacaf refs are -----.
