--About 90% of ocean plastic washes downstream from China.

A rather inconvenient fact, like China and India's coal-plant building, for leftwing environmentalists who focus exclusively on the sins of the
West.

"Nulli cares about the environment for this moment!?!"

Only to the point where he can either blame Dems, or flag as Newsworthy something said against me. Other than that, he can't even explain why plants and animals are migrating northwards, without pretending it's some ------- plot.

I was a environmentalist in the 70s, when I attended the first and subsequent Earth Days and read all the popular environmentalist books of the era. They haven't aged well, but are worth reading to see just how badly they were wrong.

Nulli, I'd say you haven't aged well, given your pot-addled brain. Not a dig against pot users, but Nulli definitely F!ed something up

The USA should stop dumping their plastic in the ocean, oh, wait....

FYI: Want to do something about the problem, then, like us, donate to 4Ocean. https://4ocean.com
We do and so can you as instead of just talking about it, they are out actively doing something about it. Put your money where your mouth is.

That doesn't in any way argue against my post.

But congrats on being an engineer. It explains why you're a walking Asperger's diagnosis.

Here's what we do at our home.

We recycle everything that we can. Separate it and put in the bin provided to us by the county.

We have reusable shopping bags rather than taking the plastic.

Hell, I wish there were a way to go back to returning glass for the companies to refill.

Good on you. It doesn't take much time and if everyone would just do it things would be much better.

I actually drove to the county recycle collection center and watched how they bailed all the plastic and paper. Looks like bales of hay when the ship it out.

But, recycling releases greenhouse gases...enough to harm our planet drastically according to the levels used by the IPCC. Sure, the levels are lower than new plastic construction but just because they are lower doesn't mean they aren't a threat. So recycling may help remove plastics but then we have more greenhouse gases. Pick your poison.

Also, with this much plastic, seems like sea level rising isn't only just because the climate...

"Also, with this much plastic, seems like sea level rising isn't only just because the climate..."

Humans can ruin the environment with pollution, not just through climate change?

Wow. Mind blown. Never thought of that before.

You're a credit to your race, Humtake.

BOOM there is it. Nulli must have a google alert set so they he's immediately notified when an environmental thread appears on the retort. He's guaranteed to show up immediately. And guaranteed to be on the anti environment side.

It doesn't matter if the topic is C02 usage or other forms of pollution. If it's bad for the planet, nulli is there defend it, blame the left, or say nothing can be done.

This is what happens when you hate yourself and your life. You want the whole world to burn.

Imagine how much we could leverage our relationship with them to address this if we weren't spending all our political capital raising tariffs and begging them to investigate Hunter Biden.
