Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

After booming in 2017 and 2018, employment growth in manufacturing all but stopped this year. And the numbers were even worse in the swing states crucial to President Donald Trump's re-election hopes: Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

As it turns out, however, reports of the death of manufacturing jobs in the Rust Belt were slightly exaggerated. New data paint a rosier picture....

Are you assuming all the farmers collecting welfare checks as a result of Trump's trade war games, are democrats?

Our economy may be great for Wall Street. But Main Street is sleeping in tents on the side of the road.

OK Boomer.

You must not realize how rare pension plans are... especially in the real economy, outside of government jobs like yours!

I have a 401.

And I knock the economy, or at least the presentation of it.

All the metrics used are 40,000 feet flyover metrics. On the ground things aren't so rosy.

99% of the Dem base is in one of two categories:

1.) Flat broke economic losers (the perpetual welfare crowd) - the ones you correctly identified above
2.) Those filled with self-hatred so they feel worse as their wealth increases

Just as they hate their maleness or their whiteness, they hate the economic success they have enjoyed. Of course, they have no problem cashing the checks and trying to cheat on their taxes (like escaping SALT caps in CA and NY), but they feel dead inside while doing so.

DOUCHEFROTH. Pretty clear from his financial advice. His sole assets appears to be a library card and a 2015 edition of TurboTax.

"Pretty clear from his financial advice."

Current count: 4 savings plans, 11 Traditional IRAs, 1 SIMPLE IRA, 2 Pensions, 8 Roth IRAs, and two mortgage-free homes.

Rube Lieburg has, once again, admitted he can't deal with me if he's restricted to telling the truth.

"Thanks for proving you are poor while trying to claim to be wealthy."

So....you're not going to admit you were wrong? You're just going to pretend you were talking about something else entirely? What a spineless putz you turned out to be.

And regarding Roths: you clearly have no idea how large they can grow. Romney reported $20 million in his. Besides, they're a great vehicle in retirement, and the income cap limits were taken off conversions several years ago...not that I expect you to know what that means.

But go ahead...keep displaying your ignorance. This is fun!

"while trying to claim to be wealthy."

Oh, I've never claimed to be "wealthy". I've earned enough, and saved enough, and have plenty to retire on. But any "wealth" comparison is subjective: I could have 10 million, but I wouldn't be wealthy, according to someone's definition.

But here's how I've defined myself: for the last 33 years, I haven't had to answer to anyone. I work when I want, buy what I want, and travel anywhere the bride and I want to go. In our entire marriage, I've never once complained about anything my wife has bought, even during the six years she was taking care of her mom instead of working. I haven't had to worry about a bill, or a repair, or much of anything as far as money is concerned. And why? I learned from an early age the power of an automatic savings plan. When I met the bride, I convinced her to be an aggressive saver like I was, and she learned the lesson with me. Now, whenever we revisit our budget, the one thing we never consider cutting is our automatic savings plans, on the 1st and the 15th of every month. We realized long ago that empowers every other choice we have.

But go ahead and attack my financial ignorance. This is fun!

#14 | POSTED BY DANFORTH"

I will - because it is fun an easy. As I have demonstrated time and again, you are clueless. The latest example was your inability to know how to use Excel. Given your claimed experience, that is a pretty big red flag as that is the most basic of tools for anyone in the finance/accounting profession. As a result, pretty clear you 'accounting' knowledge is limited to a TurboTax or equivalent package - probably solely for individuals and not for businesses.

From your 'wealth' above, it is also clear that you just copied and pasted a google search and then applied numbers not realizing what you were actually stating - because again - you are financially clueless.

Its too easy ...

From not understanding Trust taxation, inheritance, estate taxation, and in ability of reading a DOJ or Treasury financial statement ....

My guess is you get off on the attention.

No, I got that from my daily net worth statement...on an Excel spreadsheet.

Once again, you've proven you can't engage in a discussion with me on an adult level, and have to barf fantastical lies to assuage your bruised ego.

"From not understanding Trust taxation,"

What a riot. I called you a Trust Fund baby, and you've been pretending ever since it's an actual Trust. TFB is a generic term, for someone who didn't earn what he owns. That'd be you.

" inheritance, estate taxation,"

Now you're just lying to lie. I've proven at least four times "estate tax", "inheritance tax" and "death tax", when paired with "IRS", all take you to THE EXACT SAME IRS PAGE.

At this point, you're simply proving you, like Rube, can't engage me without resorting to lies.

No, I don't believe you. I think you are an economic loser. I have made that clear over and over again on here. So, you can prove me wrong - which is not possible - or you can stop calling it a lie because you have no actual facts to dispute my statements. Again, you seem to not understand what a FACT is and how that relates to a lie.

How...by linking you to my accounts, and giving you the passwords? Everything I claimed is true; your claim is, as usual, a lie. And you've proven, yet again, you don't believe you can engage me in a discussion or debate without constantly lying. So many lies.....

In true trumpian wingnut fashion, the dotards try their favorite trick .... accusing others of their own weaknesses and crimes.

It only takes about 30 seconds on google to prove the truth. The goofy trump/fox news constituency is made up mostly of social security recipients, people of low intellect and people who hate the democratic process, even though it is responsible for them not having to live as a pauper.

WTH do they know about the 'economy'? You would have a more accurate gauge asking them how does one fake 'disability'.
