Donald Trump called for the population of Seoul to be moved during an Oval Office meeting when tensions between the US and North Korea were at their height....new details of Trump's demands that the families of US service members in South Korea be evacuated, which the North Korean regime would have interpreted as a clear move towards war.

An evacuation of Seoul may well have provoked a use them or lose them dynamic in the NKs. Now, how many dead people would that have made and how many of them women and especially the kids no one is supposed to abort?

Ranty has offered to put the evacuees up at mar-a-lago.

For those who have never been to Seoul, evacuation of a city with more population than New York City would be impossible. Even the Korean government has no idea how many live within the city. Their best guess is based upon water consumption. BTW the largest subway system in the world is in Seoul. The stations are enormous, all are at least 10 meters under ground. Dual use facility, they also serve as their bomb shelters.

That kind of "leaked" bluff is Dotard's version of "going to court" - his favorite "negotiation" technique - something like that may have intimidated and cause his small contractors and banks to settle for much less than they were owed, but the problem is that at much higher level than a small, family-controlled Trump Organization it is not effective at all and he is "experiencing" it. Heads of state are not intimidated or bullied, they just roll their eyes, quite openly mock him and laugh at him and say "bring it on." So, with all the power he has, he feels emasculated, frustrated, not enjoying himself and it keeps him off-balance and doing ever more stupid things that whoever left of "his generals" (military, intelligence, economic) tell him not to do.

That's why his tariffs or threats are ever less effective and more counterproductive - opponents are states with a lot more legal, financial and geopolitical firepower that he ever imagined and can hit his weak spots - his "base."

Everyone knows his MO, his "schtick" so he can't bluff, intimidate or bully with any real consequence without backfiring on him and his "flock" so we are seeing less and less of it, and more "blackmail" of withdrawal of American forces or money.

Orange Dotard is way over his head, he is no Sun Tzu, there is no 3-D chess in sight and anybody who is not still blinded by "he is self-made billionaire businessman" is starting to see that the "Emperor" has no clothes.

"evacuation of Seoul"....a little concoction of homonym, seasoned with metaphor and sauteed over irony

Aide: Sir, moving the entire metropolitan area of Seoul, over 20 million people, is not practical.
Trump: What if we gave them some buses?
Aide: Well, sir, I...
Trump: Maybe my company could build some new towers when they relocate. Very tall ones. Total class too. Lots of gold. Get Rudy on the phone. We can make a deal.
