Although the New England Patriots have admitted that they violated an NFL rule on Sunday when they illegally filmed the field during the Bengals-Browns game, one thing that's still unclear is what exactly the illegal footage shows.

Isn't the New England Patriots the team that has been caught cheating in the past?

... the Patriots also added that "the sole purpose of the filming was to provide an illustration of an advance scout at work on the road." ...

Yeah, right. And they also have a bridge to sell me.

If Belichick needs to spy on the Bengals, the Patriots are far worse off than I thought.

The New England Patriots are the Republicans of the NFL.

Having kept up with their "day in the life" of random employees web series, I'm inclined to believe that this wasn't intentional. Plus it's against the bengals LOL.

The NFL has the film footage and will end up making a decision, probably a fine for the organization based on some rule being broken

No interest in "football", but #3 and #4 mesh very well.

NFL is 11 billion dollar entertainment business. No longer a sporting event.

Wait, they filmed an open public game and that is wrong?
Jealousy of a winner is expected but can anyone believe that filming and studying an opponent is not done by most teams?

That was exactly my thought. Come on! It's the BENGALS...

I'm sure the DR wingnuts will be on here soon to explain how it wasn't cheating and if it was, it was harmless, and if it wasn't, they didn't need to cheat, and if they did, they offered to delete the tape so everything is hunky dory, get over it. We're talking about Patriots, not black quarterbacks kneeling for the National Anthem, after all.
