I was wondering why this was going on...

Crowds of angry Iraqis protesting America's recent airstrikes against an Iran-backed militia laid siege to the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad Tuesday, chanting "Down, Down USA!" as they stormed through a main gate, prompting U.S. guards to fire back tear gas in response.

Now who do you think is doing the protesting?

These "protesters" are members/supporters of a militia supported & controlled by #Iran.

What interesting will be Iraqi government response.

Got it.

US property raided in Lybia, 10 or so congressional investigations into it and Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama are to blame.

US property raided in Iraq, Iran is to blame, Iraq can figure it out.

an Army Apache helicopter flew over the premises and dropped flares in a "show of force", hoping to disburse the crowd, a U.S. defense official told Fox News.

LOL we're stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.

A. We leave and give the militia and it's proxies a win
B. We stay and have another Benghazi-like incident (except without all the investigations, I'm sure)
C. We have a lethal "show of force" which blows the entire situation up

Personally, I think this is all the plan and option B is the end goal.

Trump is an unpopular POTUS going into an election year. Starting a war by painting the other side as the aggressor sounds like something the GOP would do to keep their hold on power. They've done it before.

When the embassy was stormed in Benghazi, it was President Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's fault.

So, naturally, Republicans will blame this on President Trump and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Then we should have gone in with the 500,000 troops Shinseki said it was gonna take to occupy the country.

They forced him to retire for telling Congress that. He was in line to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.

Just like they fired the highly experienced, competent Gen. Jake Garner, first head of the provisional government, who had experience in the Balkins successfully restoring order after the war there, preventing chaos, and getting people working. All because he fervently suggested doing what had worked in the past. Instead, they fired him and sent Paul Bremmer. We know that chaos ensued because he did the opposite of what Gen. Garner knew would work.

Republicans are only good at pandering to corporations and the uber wealthy. Everything else they touch has exorbitantly expensive and time consuming to fix.

"Did Trump Tweet Multiple Predictions That Obama Would Attack Iran?"

Before gaining the White House (his first elective office), Trump had been particularly critical of incumbent president Barack Obama, repeatedly tweeting over a span of years his prediction that President Obama would "attack" or "start a war" with Iran. Initially Trump maintained that Obama would do so to boost his re-election chances, then when the 2012 election (which Obama won) passed without an attack on Iran, Trump shifted to offering other reasons. The full list of Trump's proffered rationales for an Obama-led attack on Iran eventually encompassed all of the following:

"to get elected" (i.e., to win re-election)
"because of his inability to negotiate properly"
"to show how tough he is"

www.snopes.com

Any of that sound familiar with the present CinC?

It's just part of the joint Iran-Russia-China exercises in Oman, demonstrating they can coordinate symmetric and asymmetric warfare.
