Fox News will host a town hall with former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg on Jan. 26 from Des Moines, Iowa. The town hall, which will be moderated by "Fox News Sunday" anchor Chris Wallace, comes one week before the Iowa caucuses.

When Sanders did this I thought it was ill-advised, but given the bounce Bernie got after his Fox News town hall I think that this may be very helpful to Mayor Pete in the long run.

When Sanders did this I thought it was ill-advised,

Going into the lions den is always a good move, I bet Sanders outlined much of the format he wanted, and Fox cooperated.

but given the bounce Bernie got after his Fox News town hall

Interesting you don't give FoxNews any credit for the format or the fairness upon which Sanders was treated.

I only say this because from your comments you don't seem to think they would be fair and balanced.

No media outlet is "fair and balanced" and I am more than willing to admit that as far as Fox leans to the right, CNN and MSNBC lean just as far to the left, if not more now that Cheetolini is POTUS.

What is interesting to me is not the lean of Fox but that their viewership mostly will not be voting for Mayor Pete in the primaries, so like Bernie this seems to be more a reach to the middle for the GE. That being said, Mayor Pete is clearly a shrewd politician and will use his run for the Democratic nomination to seek higher office in Indiana.

To do that he is going to have to agree with some policies on the right.

CNN's fall has been almost surreal to watch unfold.

It is no longer that. These days, CNN is a peculiar and unlovely hybrid of progressive propaganda outlet, oleaginous media apologist, sexless cultural scold, and frenzied Donald Trump stalkerblog. When news breaks, it is no longer useful or appropriate to tell someone, "Turn on CNN," because if he did, he would be as likely to be presented with a wall of advocacy and obsession as with the headlines of the hour. Today, CNN does not broadcast the news; it broadcasts what it wants you to think the news is. At long last, it has become Fox.

I think that is a fair assessment of all the US Media.

Oh, and cable news makes you stupid.

Most reputable and established news will give you facts. NPR, NYT, LAT, New Yorker, Bloomberg, BBC, CBC.

You are conflating opinion pieces with news.

Fox has no news component. It is all opinion. The entire Con media is opinion and not fact.

You guys are contributing to continuation of the post-fact world and it's lazy.

NPR is not a reputable news source. It's just a place where snobbish liberals listen to to hear themselves talk uppity.

All of the others you listed, I would never listen or read any of them, because they are all liberal bastions of filth.

Boaz gets his news from 700 Club, RT Today, and One America Network.
